HOW TO MANIFEST YOUR IDEAL SELF

Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing with you how to manifest your ideal self. So, how you can become a better version of who you are and reach your truest self through manifestation and self-healing exercises. I’ve briefly explained what is manifestation in a previous post but it’s basically the process of expressing what you desire. Notably, through thinking (or believing), feeling and acting. It bases itself on the premise of the “law of attraction”. So, you attract what you release. To put it in simple terms; if you feel good, good things will come to you.

Elevate your mindset and vibration

The first way to reach your true self is to elevate your energy. If my self-healing journey has taught me anything is that it is my responsibility to make myself happy and be the person I want to be. I am responsible for my own fate and basing myself on the law of attraction, what I focus on will become reality if I put my heart and soul into it. But also, if i raise my energy the same level as what I want to receive. Basically, building your authentic self starts with your mindset and the energy you choose to radiate.

Reflect on yourself

The second habit that will allow you to become a better version of yourself is to reflect on who you are. Journaling is a wonderful practice to discover more about your person and your needs. One exercise you can do is write down in your journal what you want to improve about yourself. So, what are the qualities that you, not necessarily hate about yourself, but maybe that you want to change and that you are not a fan of. Let’s say you’re the type of person who says sorry a lot, who cares too much about other people’s opinion or gets angry easily. Maybe these are parts of yourself you’d rather change or have more control over. You could also write down about some life events that shaped you and situations that influenced you.

On another hand, you could write all the things you love about yourself and the achievements (little or big) you are proud of. This exercise not only allows you to see yourself in a more positive light and appreciate your own person but also to discover qualities about yourself you never noticed you had and focus on those to improve as a person.

In general, reflecting on yourself through journaling (or talking) will allow you to know more about your truest self, beyond your anger, sadness, anxiety, or bad situations.

Honour your shadow

Getting closer to your core self requires to look deeper into yourself, to look at parts you are ashamed or embarrassed of. This is what we call a shadow. Our shadow is what prevents us from being truly comfortable with ourselves and getting what we want in life. When we embrace our shadow, we become more authentic because we are no longer trying to push away the aspects we dislike about ourselves. So, the point of shadow work is to identify this shadow, embrace it and hence, reach our authentic self!

Identify who inspires you and why

The next step to manifesting your ideal self is to identify who inspires you to become a better version of yourself and why. One exercise I did very recently is to write down on my journal all of the people I admire. For instance, I wrote down that I admire Morticia and Gomez Addams (from Addams’ Family) because of their strong marital relationship and for the respect they bear for each other. They have a relationship I aspire to have and that I try to build with my own fiancé. Eventually, all of the qualities you will write about the people you admire are going to be the same qualities you look to nourish and build in yourself.

Cultivate your worthiness

According to Leah Vanderveldt, “showing up as your core self in every situation is the ultimate display of healthy self-worth”. It basically presents itself as “I am just going to do me”. It’s the feeling of being completely free to be yourself and not caring what others think. Now, feeling into and bolstering your self-worth takes dedication and practice but eventually, leads you to embrace every inch of yourself and helps you complete your journey to your authentic personality. There are many ways you can cultivate your self-worth, notably through gratitude, journaling, self-care, being kinder to yourself and so on. It’s just a matter of work and discipline.

How To Manifest Your Ideal Self

Manifestation is the process of identifying what you want and getting it through a combination of believing, taking action and showing up as your whole self. In this post, I share with you how you can use this process of manifestation to build your ideal self. Now, I hope this was helpful to you and wish you a wonderful week-end!
