These are habits I personally follow and that helped me tremendously to first, make me feel in control, and second, to ease my anxiety. I consider my life complicated when I over-worry about things, when I feel overwhelmed or when I feel like things are not supposed to be that complicated and hard.

7 Ways To Simplify Your Life

Use a calendar and plan your week ahead of time
One effective and known way to simplify your life is to use a planner to organize your weeks. This is the perfect way to plan what you need to do during the month and plan your important calls, meetings, or deadlines. This allows you to feel more in control of your life and manage everything you need to do without feeling overwhelmed or busy.
Making a list
Making a list allows you to lay down on paper all of your thoughts, responsibilities and, priorities on a major task, making this task more manageable and less intimidating. It’s another way to make you feel more in control of your life and feel less overwhelmed by what you have to do.
Opt for Minimalism
A minimalist lifestyle involves living with fewer resources in terms of possession. It is a part of the thought process how a person chooses to live with all the minimal things in life and yet be satisfied. Living a more minimalistic life allows you to spend less money, focus on quality rather than on quantity, have a happier mindset because you put your focus on more important things and have fewer things to clean.
Stop worrying over things you cannot control
The next tip to simplify your life is to stop worrying over the things you cannot control. That is one I personally have had difficulties dealing with. To worry over things I cannot control is embedded into my anxiety but I will admit that when you focus solely on the things you can control, it makes your life so much easier. There are a lot of things in life you won’t be able to overcome or foresee so why worry over them? it’s just an unnecessary headache. One way I trained my mind to stop worrying is through positive affirmations, meditation, and journaling.
Start budgeting your money
One of the things I like to do to simplify my life is to manage my money effectively. That way, I never worry about being broke and always have money for the necessary things in life, like my rent, food, or transport. One amazing way to budget your money is to lay down all of your monthly expenses and to respect the money you assign for your leisure and shopping. Moreover, for each salary you get, take the habit to put at least 10% of it on your savings account. Trust me, that’s life-saving!
Meal-prep
I never fully realized that as an adult, living in my own apartment, I had to prepare three meals per day every day for the rest of my life. So, let me tell you, meal-prep has seriously helped me so much to save time and effort. I am a full-time student, who owns a blog and works part-time in retail. I need those extra hours to rest. So, one way I like to simplify my life is to prepare my meals ahead of time. You can dedicate one or two days to cook several meals for the week or just decide ahead of time what you’re going to eat exactly. Also, cooking your own food is much healthier and is cheaper than eating out all the time.
Declutter and organize
The last tip I want to share with you is to take the habit to declutter and organize your house. Whether, it’s your closet, makeup vanity, or fridge. The simple act of having everything clean, and organize helps you clear your mind and make everything else easier, from choosing your outfits to wear, to choosing food to eat. Furthermore, getting rid of the things you do not need makes your place more spacious and free of mess, which again, clears your mind.

I’m all about minimalism, especially in fashion, one of the perks of losing a lot of weight is that I had to buy new clothes and I made it a mission to buy from sustainable brands and to only keep what I truly love and use. On top of that, having a lot of things gives me anxiety
