Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing with you a complete guide to crystal healing. Crystals have been a big part of my spiritual journey and witchcraft practice. I love to collect them and use them in my daily practice. They make me feel good and they are very comforting. So, in this post, I share with you what’s a crystal exactly, what does crystal healing mean, how you can use crystals on a regular basis and how to cleanse them.

A Complete Guide To Crystal Healing
Power of crystals
According to the law of physics, everything in the universe vibrates and has its own resonant frequency. It is believed that crystals have vibrational frequencies that range from deep and earthy (lower) to exceedingly fine and cosmic (higher). Crystals with lower frequencies harmonize physical and subtle-energy bodies while crystals with cosmic vibrations operate beyond the physicality of earth.
In a sense, crystals work the same way plants do. Plants can affect your mood, your mind, and your body. Having crystals around can also influence the way you feel, and your spiritual and mental self. Crystals supposedly do this by positively interacting with your body’s energy field.
A lot of studies suggest that crystals work more like the placebo effect and that the power of these minerals lies “in the eye of the beholder”. In general, holding a crystal is, of course, not the same as taking medicine, and don’t expect your doctor to recommend crystals at your next visit. But research on the placebo effect has shown that even snake oil can have benefits for those who believe it does.
Spiritually, crystals are considered gifts from mother nature. Some of them are born of fire, others by pressure, water, air, or nature. For instance, the Serpentine stone is created when existing minerals melt under intense pressure and enormous heat.
What is crystal healing?
Crystal healing is an integrated, therapeutic, and energetic process that is holistic and that acts on the body, psyche, soul, and environment. It is meant to alleviate your pain, help you find balance, and make you feel good overall. Each crystal has a set of properties that you can use to ease your anxiety, promote success or balance your emotions.
How to use crystals
The first way you can use crystals is through meditation. Depending on what you want to achieve or heal, you can choose a crystal that aligns with how you want to feel afterward. But there are also crystals that facilitate meditation and concentration like Spirit Quartz.
Another way to use your crystals is to place them over the site of pain and visualize a light coming out of the crystal, connecting with your body.
The third way you can use crystals is to ground yourself. Grounding is a sort of mindful exercise that allows you to feel more down-to-earth and present. There are a lot of crystals that facilitate grounding exercises like Serpentine
Protection is another method to utilize crystals. Some people choose to carry specific crystals around with them to repel negative energies and protect them from harm. Others like to keep them around the house to protect their home from unwanted visitors.
Spell work and rituals
The fifth way to use crystals and stones is to incorporate them into your spells and rituals. You can use them to create or change something or even infuse potions with them. For example, if you perform a spell for abundance and luck, you could go with a Selenite.
Leave around your home
Like I briefly mentioned above, you can leave crystals around the house to improve the energy, protect your home or improve communication. Depending on what you want, you’ll have to choose a crystal with the properties you are looking for.
Carry with you
The last way you can utilize crystals is to carry them around with you for specific purposes. For instance, to boost your creativity, repel negative energy, improve positive self-talk, and so forth.
How to cleanse your crystals
My first and favorite way to cleanse a crystal is through smoke. You can place the crystal above the smoke coming from the incense, sage, or dried rosemary in order to remove all unwanted energy. At that moment, you could envision all of the negative aura leaving the crystal.
A second method to cleanse your crystals is to bury them in the soil for a couple of hours.
One other method to cleanse your crystals is through water. You can place the crystal through running water and just visualize all of the unwanted energies pouring down the crystal.
Under the full moon
The last way to clean your crystals is actually a very popular method and that is to leave them under the light of the full moon.
How to active your crystals
After cleansing your crystal, it’s important to activate it in order to make use of its properties. One way I love to do that is to just put it on the palm of my hand, connect with it by sharing my energy, and whisper what I want from it. For example, I’d say something like that to rose quartz: “Bless this rose quartz for offering me self-love and for making me feel worthy”.
