NIGHTTIME SELF-CARE ROUTINE

Happy Friday! Today, I am sharing with you my nighttime self-care routine. This is actually the routine that I adopt before going to bed and after eating my dinner at around 8 pm. In contrast to my morning routine, this one is more chill and easy-going. I try not to do any work at that time so I can focus on myself only. Obviously, my evenings do not look like this all the time. This is more occasional.

Now, if you want to know what’s my nighttime self-care routine then keep on reading. Don’t forget to check out my previous post: 7 GOOD REASONS TO HAVE INDOOR PLANTS.

Brew some tea

After having some dinner, the first thing that I like to do is to make myself some tea. Depending on my mood, I’d either go with a mint, camomille, or black tea. Sometimes, I would create my own blend with the herbs that I have. I once did a camomille, mint, and lavender tea. It was exquisite. In general, I love drinking tea at night because it allows me to destress and puts me in such a cozy and relaxing mood. It’s the perfect drink to end the day.

Water my plants

While waiting for my tea to infuse, I like to water my plants. I don’t know why but there’s something relaxing about watering my plants at the end of the day. I love to have a productive morning but at night, I like to focus on my self-care, and pampering my plants is such a therapeutic activity.

Witchcraft ritual

Once or twice per week, I like to dedicate at least 30 minutes of my time to practice witchcraft. This is a time that I dedicate to relax and be in touch with myself and my surroundings. In general, witchcraft and Wicca allow me to stay humble and to focus on what really matters in life. My ritual usually looks like that: I turn on a candle, ground myself, and mediate, burn some herbs (I’ll choose which depending on what I need), and manifest. Sometimes, I’d cast a spell or practice divination but that depends on whether I need it.

Journaling

After that, I like to spend some time journaling. This is a moment where I like to write down what’s on my mind, how I am progressing as a witch, about my spells, crystals, herbs, and what I am grateful for. Journaling is another therapeutic exercise I like to do at night to relax and focus on my mental and emotional self. It’s also a really fun and creative activity!

Skincare routine

Now to end my perfect little self-care routine, I do my skincare. I love to take care of my physical self, just applying creams, serums, and oils on my body and face. It’s through my skincare routine that I show respect and love to myself which I think is extremely important because I grew up with really low self-confidence. To me, a skincare routine allows me to stay on the path of self-love and self-acceptance.

Chill in bed

Lastly on my nighttime self-care routine is to chill in my bed. At that moment, I’d either watch some videos or read a book. But this is the moment where I do nothing and procrastinate. The only time during the day that I can do that so I cherish it.

So jelly of your night time care routine, mine would just be repetitive episodes of going back from work, eating dinner, play casual games then sleep. Hope i could incorporate new routines on the future too if i have a less jam-packed schedule.

I totally understand you. I actually don’t follow this routine when I come back from a long work day, I’d be too tired. Thank you so much for passing by 😍✨
