Happy Wednesday! Today, I am sharing with you my honest Balm Dotcom Glossier review! This is actually the second time I ever try lip balms. Before that, I used to just moisturize my lips with Aquafor 😂. Which, let’s be honest, does the job at a really good price.
But anyway, let’s get into it! Don’t forget to check out my previous post: HOW TO RESTORE YOUR SKIN BARRIER.
Balm Dotcom Glossier Review
Product Information

This product retails for 12$ and contains 15ml or 0.5fl. oz. of product.
According to the brand, it’s “a hydrating lip balm packed with antioxidants and natural emollients to nourish dry [and] chafed skin”. Moreover, it has a waxy texture that stays in place to seal in moisture and it leaves the lips looking smooth and hydrated, not shiny. It is available in 9 flavors:
Original – fragrance-free, untinted.
Rose – has a barely-there pink tint.
Birthday – untinted, subtle shimmer.
Cherry – has a sheer red tint.
Mint – untinted, cooling feel.
Coconut – beachy and untinted.
Mango – fresh and juicy, with a peachy rose tint.
Berry – luscious and jammy, with a sheer berry tint.
Wild Fig – limited edition! sweet and fruity, with a deep coral tint.
I tried the flavours: Mango, Coconut and Birthday!
The key ingredients in these lip balms are: Castor Oil, Beeswax, and Lanolin
Finally, these products are available for purchase at Glossier.com and are cruelty-free
Packaging 5/5

These lip balms come in a really cute squeezable tube. Each of them has a different top color that changes according to the flavor. The mango flavor has an orange packaging with the Glossier logo on the side. The coconut flavor has a dusty pink packaging with also the Glossier logo on the side. And finally, the birthday flavor has a silver shimmery packaging with the Glossier logo on the side. All of the information is printed on the tube and the writing changes colors according to the flavors which I think is super fun.
In general, I find the packaging extremely cute and aesthetic. I also love the fact that it’s small and compact so it’s easy to travel with or to take with you in a small purse, or even pocket.
Formula 4/5
Concerning the formula, it’s a very decent lip balm. It does the job. It moisturizes the lips and keeps them hydrated for a good couple of hours. It’s also very thin and lightweight which I love. Like most lip balms, it has a waxy texture that allows the product to sit on the lips, making them look healthy and moisturized. I think taking into consideration the dry weather in Canada, this lip balm does an amazing job and does what it claims to do. The tube itself can last you about two months I would say, which is pretty good.
Some of these lip balms do have a subtle tint which I think looks very nice. The mango one has a subtle pink tint which makes my lips look redder and more healthy-looking. The two others don’t really have a tint but they both look beautiful on the lips.
The one thing I dislike about these lip balms is the scent. The flavor is way too strong for my liking and feels artificial. What I liked about the Summer Fridays Lip balm is that the scent felt natural and subtle. But these don’t. And, I really dislike the fact that the scent actually lingers for a couple of minutes before wearing off.
Conclusion – Balm Dotcom Glossier review 9/10
To conclude, I think these lip balms deserve the hype that they get. The formula is wonderful and the packaging is so dreamy. However, I know this is an unpopular opinion, I really dislike the scent. I am very picky when it comes to fragrance and scents and this is a major turn-off for me.
That’s it for today. Thank you so much for passing by. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.
