Happy Thursday! Today, I am sharing with you an anti-redness exfoliating solution review. This is the exfoliating toner that I use as part of my acne routine and I’ve been using it for 6 months already. In fact, I already emptied this one and purchased a new bottle a couple of months ago. So, if you want to know my honest thoughts on this product, then keep on reading.

Also, I previously shared my thoughts on the cleanser from the same line. You can check it out here: REVIEW // Pore Normalizing Cleanser by Paula’s Choice! Now, let’s get into it!

According to the brand, this exfoliating toner “clears breakouts, unclogs and minimizes pores and fades red marks from past breakouts”. It’s meant to target mild to moderate acne and it feels lightweight and gentle on the skin. The brand adds that it’s calming, it does not contain any harsh ingredients and, it is appropriate for cystic acne!

Packaging 4/5

Anti Redness Exfoliating solution review

First of all, this toner has standard packaging. Like the cleanser, it comes in a bright blue bottle with all of the information written on the front in a neat and organized way. It’s travel-friendly and it looks very clean and medical. Again, it’s not the most aesthetic packaging ever, but it’s pretty, practical and, it does the job.

The only negative thing I noticed is that when I traveled to Lebanon, the product spilled in my skincare bag. I have no idea why because the bottle was obviously closed but yeah. It wasn’t too bad, I was able to use the product afterward but I thought it was weird and that is minus 0.5 points for the packaging 😛!

Formula 5/5

Now, concerning the formula, the toner performs pretty well. It’s extremely gentle on the skin yet is very effective at exfoliating the skin. With constant use, I noticed that my acne and blackheads have reduced and my skin looked brighter and smoother overall. Also, it made my skin look less red and inflamed. This is definitely a product you can use on a daily basis because of how gentle it is but also because it contains some hydrating and soothing properties like Dipropylene Glycol or Glycerin.

On another hand, this product definitely works better paired with the cleanser and the benzoyl peroxide treatment. It’s a wonderful product to use on its own if your acne is mild and less stubborn. But if your acne is more persistent, definitely buy the whole Clear set.

Conclusion – anti-redness exfoliating solution review 9/10

To conclude, I really love this toner. It performs exactly as the brand claims it. It’s effective yet extremely gentle and non-irritating. Personally, I use it not more than once a day to avoid overexfoliation but I can totally imagine using it twice per day. It is so gentle and I highly recommend it!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.

This sounds interesting. I have the Paula’s Choice BHA that comes in the grey bottle and I feel like that one works for blackheads but doesn’t do much when my skin is breaking out so I might give this a try instead. Great review!

Oh I actually never tried the one in the grey bottle. But yes I feel like exfoliators work better paired with another acne treatment if you have acne. Like along with this one, I use the benzoyl peroxide treatment by Paula’s choice, and I think together, they work best to heal my acne! Thanks for reading 🥰
