Pore normalizing cleanser review

Product Information

Pore normalizing cleanser review

This cleanser retails for 13$ and contains 6oz of product. It’s a “gentle, acne-fighting cleanser [that] removes excess oil, pore-clogging debris and makeup without drying skin or causing redness”.

According to the brand, this cleanser “isn’t like other acne cleansers; it is completely non-irritating and won’t cause dryness or flaking. This cleansing gel actually has a silky feel that works quickly to remove excess oil and debris that can clog pores and lead to breakout.”

This cleanser actually targets acne-prone skin and is part of their regular strenght kit to fight acne.

Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 0.5%  (anti-acne)
Inactive Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate (cleansing agent), Acrylates/Steareth-20 Methacrylate Copolymer (texture enhancer), Glycerin (skin-replenishing), PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate (cleansing agent/solubilizer), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (cleansing agent), Arginine (amino acid/skin-softening), Butylene Glycol (hydration/slip agent), PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate (emollient/emulsifier), Panthenol (vitamin B5/hydration), Disodium EDTA (chelating agent), Citric Acid (pH adjuster), PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (cleansing agent/solubilizer), Sodium Citrate (chelating agent), Phenoxyethanol (preservative), Caprylyl Glycol (preservative), Chlorphenesin (preservative).

Packaging 4.5/5

Pore normalizing cleanser review

This cleanser has a pretty standard packacing. It comes in a bright light blue bottle with all of the major information printed on the front. The packaging is simple and practical, I love that it’s travel friendly. Also, it looks very clean and medical. It’s definitely not the most aesthetic cleanser on the market but I love that Paula’s choice uses colours to differentiate their products. It’s fun!

Formula 5/5

Concerning the formula, this is probably one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used. It’s so gentle yet so effective. It performs exaclty like the brand claims. It removes all the dirt on my skin and leaves it looking so clean and bright while not messing with my natural oils and skin barrier. I am so impressed at how gentle this cleanser is yet how it manages to remove excess oil and dirt. It’s wow!

In terms of ingredients, this cleanser contains a small percentage of Salicylic acid which is an amaxing chemical exfoliator to remove blackheads and white heads. Personally, I don’t know how effective an salicylic acid cleanser is considering it stays on your skin for only a minute but I did see a major difference in the texture of my skin. I don’t have small bumps anymore on my forehead and they disappeared as soon as I started using this cleanser.

What I love about Paula’s Choice is how their products are thoughtfully made. Each ingredient as a purpose. In this cleanser, there’s a lot of hydrating agents like Glycerin or Butylene Glycol.

Conclusion – Pore Normalizing Cleanser Review 9.5/10

To conclude, I absolutely love this cleanser. The formula is on point and I’ve genuiely noticed a difference in my acne when I started using it. I definitely plan on repurchasing a bottle and I think I’ll use it for a long time, along with the other acne products from Paula’s choice. I think they work best together. In general, it’s such an affordable cleanser for the amazing result it gives. I highly recommend it if you are looking for an effective cleanser to fight acne.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.

I haven’t tried anything from Paula’s Choice & I’ll be running out of my Murad cleanser soon so I may consider this one especially since I have acne-prone skin too.

ugh it’s such a great product. And I recommend it with their exfoliating toner and benzoyl peroxide treatment. They both go with the cleanser, it’s like a set and they do wonders together!!!
