Happy New Year my pumpkins! I hope you all spent a safe but fun new year’s eve. I actually spent it with my brother, sister, bestfriend and my sister’s bestfriend at home. It was fun, we had pizza for dinner, played some board/card game and chilled around. But anyway, I really wanted to make an update on my life considering 2020 ended and at the same time, share with you my thoughts on this year.
Now, grab your coffee or tea and let’s get into! But, don’t forget to check out my previous post: REVIEW // Bump Eraser Body Scrub by First Aid Beauty
Coffee With Joy!

If we were having Coffee, I would tell you that 2020 was not so bad for me. Yes, it does record major events (pandemic, police violence in France, BLM movement, the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaïdjan and more). In fact, it was a horrible year for us, Lebanese people, with the economical crisis, the explosion, the corruption AND the pandemic. But let’s be honest, a lot of people from underdevelopped countries go through worse EVERY YEAR and history was marked by even more terrible events like the Second World War or the Spanish Flu.
Moreover, with our advanced technology, this pandemic went more smoothly then it would have 100 years ago. So, it’s always important to stay grateful and not act stupidly (by that, I mean all of the people who acted irresponsibly because they could not stay at home or refuse to wear a mask). Also, I did not lose my job or lose a loved one so I have no right to complain.
If we were having Coffee, I would tell you that I had some wonderful memorable moments in 2020 : During quarantine, I official became a witch, I started painting again and made more time for myself. Also, I went a couple of days in La Baie Saint Paul with my boyfriend, we adopted a cat, I went to Lebanon to see my family, I successfully completed my winter, summer and fall semester and I didn’t lose my job at H&M. On top of all of that, I had a wonderful summer with my boyfriend, just going to the park all the time and enjoying the warm weather. Before the pandemic, we also went to the Van Gogh Museum, went ice skating and walked around the Old Montréal!
If we were having Coffee, I would tell you that I don’t intend to set major goals for 2021. For 2021, I just want to finish writing my memoire and apply for my residency. I think this is enough. I definitely want to practice self-care more but my goals stops at that!
If we were having Coffee, I would tell you that my blog is doing well. I don’t want to jinx it but I am very happy with my hard work. To be very honest with you, I did not pay attention to my statistics all year long. I only focused on writing, creating articles I love and connecting with other bloggers. This really encouraged me to keep going and take it further.
If we were having Coffee, I would tell you that I am currently in Lebanon for a couple of weeks. I arrived on the 20th of December and I am leaving on the 10th of January. So far, my trip is going great. I only decided to travel to see my family because I have not seen them in a year. It’s a very long time for me considering i am very close to my sisters and parents. But of course, I am following the safety measures and trying not to go out.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my e-mail list!

Wishing you the best in 2021!
I think it’s totally ok not to set too many (or any) goals for this year. 2020 has been a rollercoaster, I don’t want to stress about completing everything on my list for once!
Enjoy your time with your family, stay safe! x

2020 wasn’t too bad for me either, my blog did well, I found a job and I lost quite a bit of weight, but more than that, I’ve been eating well and working out which is doing wonders for my mental health, losing weight is just a plus and a nice confidence boost! I’m so happy to see you thriving.

It’s so lovely to catch up with you. I saw your lovely cat few times on Insta and she is the sweetest. I’m definitely a cat person, I could watch cat pics and videos all day long. I also am not planning to make any big plans for 2021, because who knows how it will go, 2020 taught us that we can never plan too much ahead. I’m so happy that your blog is doing well, hard work always pays off. Happy 2021 blogging year 😀
