REVIEW // Weightless liquid mineral SPF 30 by First Aid Beauty

Hello, my pumpkins! Today, I am sharing with you my First Aid Beauty Sunscreen review. I actually emptied this one a couple of days ago but I hesitated to share a review, considering First Aid Beauty is not officially a cruelty-free brand anymore. But, I tried it and I have it so here’s my review anyway!

If you want to know my honest thoughts on this product, then keep on reading! Don’t forget to check out my previous post: COFFEE WITH JOY // fall semester, new cat, going vegan & more

First Aid Beauty Sunscreen review

Product Information

This sunscreen retails for 34$ and contains 44ml/1.5 fl oz of product.

According to First Aid Beauty, this sunscreen is suitable for all skin types, from dry to oily skin. They describe this product as “a non-whitening mineral SPF that protects the skin from UVA/UVB rays and absorbs quickly with a light, invisible, non-greasy finish”.

Concerning their cruelty-free status: according to cruelty-free Kitty, the brand is no longer cruelty-free, as they started selling in China. But some associations argue that you can keep your cruelty-free status and sell in China. I’ve not made an opinion on that matter so for now, I will stop supporting the brand.

This product is available at Sephora and First Aid Beauty’s official website.

Packaging 4/5

The packaging is quite simple yet super cute! The sunscreen comes in a white plastic bottle with a yellow cap and a yellow sticker with all of the information written on. It has the same aesthetic as the regular First Aid Beauty products but in yellow, instead of blue, which I love! I think it’s a pretty color for sunscreen and it is a reference to the sun!

I also think it’s a very practical packaging; it’s travel-friendly and as soon as you empty it, you can recycle the bottle (please do!). I don’t know how to describe the dispenser exactly but it’s not a pump 😂. It’s more like a tube.

Overall, the packaging is great for a sunscreen. I don’t expect better or more sophisticated. It’s just right!

Formula 5/5

Concerning the formula, this sunscreen performs like a DREAM. It is extremely lightweight and blends so easily and effortlessly into the skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves no white cast whatsoever. In fact, it is a tinted sunscreen so it is perfect for people with a darker skin tone.

Another positive thing is that it does not feel greasy on the skin and it did not clog my pores. To be honest, it does not even add another layer of hydration but I love that. Most of the time, I feel like sunscreens ruin my skincare routine. I like my sunscreen to be invisible, to do its job but be invisible and not mess up with my skincare routine! Well, this one does not. It just offers protection and that’s it. I love that!

Conclusion – First Aid Beauty Sunscreen review 9/10

To conclude, I absolutely love this sunscreen. It’s the best one I’ve ever tried so far and I highly recommend it! If the brand maintained its cruelty-free status, I would have definitely gotten a new bottle but they sadly did not. I guess I’ll have to find a new sunscreen that feels weightless and that leaves no white cast!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.

glad you liked it, i am currently on the hunt for a new spf, and it’s a shame that every time i come across a good one (like this), their CF status is questionable. i personally stop purchasing if they sell in China since they still technically aren’t 100% CF due to post market testing 🙁
