Product information

This face moisturizer retails for 26$ and contains 50ml/1.7 oz of product.

It is described as “a nurturing daily facial moisturizer that provides hydration, leaving skin silky-soft and smooth”. This product is supposed to be lightweight, quick-absorbing yet hydrating and moisturizing, perfect to target dullness and dryness. It is meant for normal and combination skin and leaves the skin looking “silky soft and smooth”.

Water/Aqua/Eau, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Colloidal Oatmeal, Dimethicone, Squalane, Urea, Allantoin, Ceramide Np, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, EDTA.

This product is vegan, cruelty-free*, and is available at Sephora and First Aid Beauty’s official website.

*I know that First Aid Beauty announced that they would start selling in china yet keep their cruelty-free status. Usually, a brand that sells in Chine loses its status because even if you are able to bypass the pre-market testing, there’s always a risk for your product to be tested on once it hits the shelf. However, in light of new information concerning post-market testing, I’ve decided to keep using this brand (for now). I will publish a new post on that matter, so stay tuned for that.

Packaging 4/5

This moisturizer comes in a pretty simple recyclable plastic packaging, with a pump as a dispenser. It follows the same pattern and aesthetic as all of the other First Aid Beauty products and is pretty practical to use and travel around with.  Besides that, I have nothing to say concerning the packaging, again, it is very simple and straight to the point. It’s not the most beautiful packaging out there but I am satisfied with how it looks…and, it does the job.

Formula 5/5

Now concerning the formula, it truly answers all of the claims stated above. It’s lightweight, quick-absorbing, and extremely hydrating and moisturizing. It does not feel heavy or oily whatsoever, which makes it perfect to use in the summer as well. On top of that, it gets rid of any dry patches I could have and moisturizes my skin so deeply well.  Another positive thing is that it truly makes my skin look so plumped and it soothes my redness caused by my acne.

I absolutely love how this moisturizer performs. It actually contains some amazing ingredients, like colloidal oatmeal which is an amazing ingredient to soothe and protect the skin. Also, it contains shea butter, which is an amazing emollient rich in vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, to moisturize the skin, and to help restore the skin barrier. It contains meadowfoam seed oil and avocado oil which are both amazing emollients to help moisturize and soften the skin.  Finally, this product also contains antioxidants to help protect the skin from the harsh environment, like Licorice Root, Feverfew, and White Tea extracts.

Best of all, this product is free from essential oils and fragrance hence is perfect for sensitive skin. Personally, my acne-prone skin does not get along with fragrances so I am happy about that.

Conclusion – First aid beauty ultra repair face moisturizer review 9/10

To conclude, I absolutely love this moisturizer and will forever recommend it to you if you ever need a good moisturizer for combination skin. It’s the ideal moisturizer if your skin is sensitive and dehydrated because it has all of the right ingredients to target these issues. Also, because I have an acne-prone skin and I’m using harsh ingredients to treat my acne, I find that this moisturizer helps to balance everything out and to keep my skin plumped and healthy!
