REVIEW // Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner by First Aid Beauty

Happy Tuesday! Today, I am sharing with you my First Aid Beauty hydrating toner review. I actually purchased this toner at the beginning of the month of July to pair it with my really simple and basic routine (Cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF).  My skin was going through a rough time, it was feeling dehydrated, textured, and bad, overall. But going back to a really simple routine definitely helped my skin get back to normal and this toner helped a lot to restore hydration to my skin.

Now, if you want to know my honest First Aid Beauty hydrating toner review, keep on reading. Don’t forget to check out my previous post: REVIEW // Hot Mama Shadow Blush by The Balm Cosmetics

It is meant to soothe and nourish the skin. It targets, dullness, dryness, fine lines and redness and has a lightweight formula.

Packaging 4/5

First Aid Beauty Hydrating toner review

This toner comes in a very simple yet practical bottle. It has an easy dispenser and looks like a typical First Aid Beauty product with the blue bottle and silver and red touches. It is also travel-friendly which I love, you know that!

I don’t like the fact that the bottle is made out of plastic but it’s recyclable so make sure you do that when you empty it.

Formula 4.5/5

Concerning the formula, I absolutely love the milky consistency. It feels very lightweight and absorbs really quickly into the skin. I love how refreshing, soothing, and hydrating it is.  After a couple of times using it, my skin started to look more plumped and like I drank 8 cups of water per day. Moreover, I noticed a difference in my redness and the overall look of my skin. It definitely looks hydrated and healthy. It is of course not solely thanks to this product but I am sure it helped. In fact, it contains some really interesting ingredients such as wild oats and colloidal oatmeal which are both amazing to soothe the skin. They also have water-biding properties and are good skin protectors.

This toner also contains honey, which is another amazing ingredient, rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and is an amazing skin soother. It is also known as a wound healer.

These ingredients are paired with glycerin, squalane, and sodium hyaluronate which are great hydrating and nourishing agents.

The toner also contains licorice extract which is an amazing plant extract to brighten the skin and improve the look of uneven skin tone.

Best of all, it is fragrance-free and hence, is perfect for sensitive skin. Fragrances actually make my acne look redder so I am happy about that.

The only thing that sets me off about this toner is that all of these great ingredients that I stated above are formulated at less than 1%. How do I know that? Well, Phenoxyethanol is placed really high on the list and is usually never more than 1% and all of the great ingredients are placed below that ingredient. It is super weird cause I did notice a difference in my skin while using this toner but the ingredients are so low in percentage…? maybe it is supposed to be that way…I don’t know…I am confused.

Conclusion – First Aid Beauty hydrating toner review 8.5/10

To conclude, I absolutely love this toner and couldn’t recommend it enough, especially for the price point. I always loved using hydrating and soothing toners on my skin to reduce the inflammation and redness of my acne. I used to use the rose tonic by Pixi beauty but this one is full of fragrance and does not contain amazing ingredients. This one on the other hand performs amazingly on my skin. The formula is simple and it does not contain any harmful ingredients like fragrances or essential oils. I wish the most beneficial ingredients were formulated above 1%. But well, it still performs well on my skin.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.

Great review! I love that you focus on certain ingredients! That’s definitely weird for the product concentration… do they write something about it on their website?
It sounds like a really good product, I’ve never tried a toner with a milky consistency nor with a SPF!

It sounds amazing! I definitely need to try it, I’d use it in the mornings since there’s not a chance I’ll separate from my glycolic toner by the ordinary (which has to be used at night)
