Hot Mama Blush review

Product Information

Hot mama blush review 2

This blush contains 7.08g of product and retails for 20$. It comes in 4 different shades. I have the shade called “Hot Mama” and it is described as a pinky-peach hue.

The Balm Cosmetics describes this blush as an “essential all-in-one highlighter, blush and shadow [that] illuminates your finest features [and] that gives [your] cheeks and lids a touch of color and a hint of shimmer”. According to the brand, it’s a perfect product to multi-task.

It’s available on The Balm Cosmetics’ official website. The product is cruelty-free but not vegan.

Packaging 4.5/5

This blush comes in the cutest packaging ever. It’s really fun and unique and I love how compact and practical it is. Each blush in this collection comes in different packaging, with different drawings/photos which, I think, is super cute and creative. Also, I love that it has a mirror. In general, I love the vibe that The Balm Cosmetics gives off and I love the aesthetic they follow. It’s so unique. Also, the blush does not feel cheap whatsoever. On the contrary, the packaging feels nice and “expensive”. And, I like that it looks different from my other blushes in my collection.

Formula 4.5/5

Concerning the formula, this blush performs wonderfully and is truly one of the best blushes I’ve ever used. It’s very pigmented and applies beautifully on the cheek. Like it claims, it does illuminate my finest features. But what I love the most about it is the stunning finish. It’s a powder formula but it does not look chuckey or powdery whatsoever. Plus, I love the golden reflects. It just gives dimension to the makeup and does not look flat. However, the shimmer is not too prominent and is quite subtle, which I love. I also love the shade it comes in. It gives me this gorgeous sun-kissed look which goes well with any makeup look, really.

Concerning the longevity of the blush, I have found that it lasted quite a long time on my cheeks and looked beautiful even at the end of the day. I did notice that it faded a little bit but nothing too extreme. On a negative note, I definitely think they should come out with more shades. They offer gorgeous shades that I think can look beautiful on darker or even lighter skin tones. But the shade selection is still quite limited.

Oh, by the way, the formula highly reminds of the Wanderlust blushes by Buxom Cosmetics. They are quite similar.

Conclusion – Hot mama blush review 9/10

To conclude, I am absolutely in love with this blush. It has one of the best formulas in the market and at such an affordable price. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a powder glowy blush and I definitely think I will repurchase it in the future. Plus, it definitely encouraged me to try more products from the brand.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.
