COFFEE WITH JOY!// witchcraft, adopting a cat, BLM & more

Hello, my pumpkins! I hope you are doing well and that you are still donating/signing petitions/learning/listening/sharing and doing your part for the Black Lives Matter movement. Our job is not done so don’t give up. Anyway, today, I am sharing with you a coffee with joy post. The last time I published one was over two months ago so I thought that I would share with you what’s been going on in my life and in my head lately.

Grab your cup of coffee, herbal tea, or hot chocolate, and let’s talk! Also, don’t forget to check out my previous post: REVIEW // Low Ph Good Morning Gel Cleanser by COSRX.

Coffee With Joy!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am enraged by the plain racism inflicted on the black community. I cannot believe that in 2020, racism is still an issue and black people still have to fight for justice and equity. I really admire all of the protests and riots that’s been going on all over the world for that matter. So, I really hope it bears its fruits and leads to something good and to real change. We really need it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve been learning a lot about white privilege and racism in the past couple of weeks. There are so many things I never realized were considered to be a white privilege but I am so happy that I am learning and I am so dedicated to making a change. I also learned a lot about certain brands and how racism in the beauty industry is persistent and omnipresent. This needs to change and I plan on boycotting some brands for that.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that on a positive note, I started investing more of myself in the path of the Green witch. I am so dedicated to becoming a green witch and following an ethical and sustainable way of life that is healthy for the planet. So, I started reading lots of books about witchcraft and I even started writing my grimoire (and book of shadows).

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I did have witchcraft knowledge before and I always considered myself to be a witch but I only relied on Youtube and Google for that. Now, I want to take it further and read books that are more detailed and guided. I do intend to do a video about my journey as a witch because it’s a long one. I started a couple of years ago but never shared it a lot on my social media. Now, I am more confident with my knowledge and my capacities as a witch so I feel ready to share it with you.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am trying to adopt a cat. I already found one that I loved but I am still waiting for the adoption shelter to respond to my demand. I am very impatient and I really hope that no one has adopted him yet 😛. You know how much I LOVE cats and I’ve been wanting to adopt one for a long time. I finally convinced my boyfriend! I can’t wait and he’s very happy too!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am highly enjoying my time in quarantine. I only have one class and I am currently not working so I have been having a lot of free time for hobbies (painting) and to focus on my blog and on my witchcraft practice. It’s awesome because I have not had free time in such a long time and I really needed it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my birthday is soon. I am turning 24 and I am not planning anything special to be honest. It’s not as if I can do anything either way 😛.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my spring semester ended perfectly well and very smoothly. I aced all of my courses and my summer class is going super well ✌️!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I always end up shopping once or twice a month. So, my no-buy plan is not going really well 😂. I really need to control myself 😛. But on a good note, I only shopped once in May. At the beginning of June, I had to purchase some replacement for my skincare products and I got myself a couple of makeup products as birthday gifts. But, I think that will be it for the rest of the month. I don’t need anything else either way 💁🏻‍♀️.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I started following Chloe Ting’s 28-day challenge workout for abs and omg that workout is killing me. It is definitely working but it’s killing me😛. I don’t want to force myself to work out but I’ve been highly enjoying it to be honest. It motivates me in the morning and helps me stay productive during the day.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my e-mail list!

xx

hahaha yes it was “Joy The Witch” 😂! I am so excited to have him (I hope the shelter will respond soon)!! The one we chose has a name already so I don’t think we will change it. Depending if he actually responds to his name 😛.

I love reading these posts! I we were having coffee, I would tell you that I felt exactly the same way about the last events, and that I’m trying as much as I can to learn about racism and white privilege as well! 😊 If we were having coffee, I’d definitely ask you to talk more about the Green witchcraft, what is it? I’d love to learn more about it! 😍
I also can’t wait to see your cat!

Thank you so much!!! I am so happy you like them and i am always happy when you leave a comment 😍😍😍 yes definitely will talk about witchcraft in future posts, green witchcraft is all about connecting with nature and using herbs/plants for “spells”. It’s like herbal medicine. I still have not gotten a response from the shelter. But i am trying to stay positive. I am sure there will be other cats of course to adopt. But i really loved the one i chose 😛.

Oooh I see! It sounds really interesting, I like the idea of using plants for a specific purpose like that! 😊 I can’t wait to see your future cat, even if it’s not the one you initially saw, I’m sure you’ll love it anyway! 😍

this is the first time i hear of green witchcraft? i’m so intrigued and hope to learn more about it because i have no idea what that is 🙂
i think it’s great your adopting a cat, so cutee!!! lots of animals need a home! i wish i had the chance to do the same but it’s not a good time. 🙁
i am also enraged by the racism, always have been really, but most of all, it enrages me that tr*mp could easily say those three little words “black lives matter”, to put an end to this but he hasnt’ so now we know where he stands and how he plans to keep this movement down. i hope he loses come november.

Yess i definitely will dedicate a post to explain green witchcraft and my journey as a witch. Everyone seems to be requesting that and i really want to share that with you 😍❤️But it’s basically practicing “magic” with nature, herbs, flowers, stones and crystals. And omg i cannot wait to adopt a cat, i’ve been wanting one for the longest time. YEss i totally understand what you mean with how Trump is handling the situation. I still cannot believe that he got elected present. I am out of words seriously 😛. I hope he loses too. Like i am literally praying for that 😂

      • June 29, 2020 / 12:17 pm

awesome, i will be patiently waiting 🙂
i only have a few crystals but have been wanting to get more haha
i honestly cannot believe he got elected either but Hillary did* drop out, which was the moment i knew things would change and would get worse for our country… that guy is not fit for the position nor does he have any political experience. in a way, the republicans have been really angry that they haven’t had a go at the presidency, and now that they have the position, they’re arrogant and don’t care the state our country is in because the stupid puppet has reinforced their racist thinking… ugh i could go on and on, no joke but i wont lol

no i totally understand. I don’t like in the US but i can definitely see the changes your country has been trhough since he has been elected and it’s just sad. He definitely is not fit. Presidency is a job, a very important one. but for him, it’s just another business deal
