Packaging 3.5/5

Low ph good morning gel cleanser review

The packaging of this cleanser is quite simple yet effective and easy to use. The product comes in squeezable plastic bottle and is recyclable, so that’s cool. I also love the fact that it’s travel-friendly. Other than that, this packaging is extremely plain and simple. It’s not ugly at all but it’s not the prettiest packaging out there. I don’t mind personally. It’s a cleanser. It does the job.

Formula 3.5/5

Concerning the formula, this cleanser performs quite well. It cleans my skin quite well, removes of all the excess dirt but requires a double cleansing if you wear makeup. In fact, they mention it in the “how to use” description. It’s gentle, so it does not strip the skin from its natural moisture yet is very effective in keeping your skin clean. It has a subtle scent that is refreshing but not over-powering. So I actually love that. I actually used this cleanser in the winter when my feel was less oily and more irritated and this cleanser did not irritate my skin whatsoever.

Concerning the ingredients, it has some acne fighting ingredients like tea tree oil and exfoliating ingredients like Betaine Salicylate. Both are not the most effective for acne in my experience. In fact, according to Paula’s choice, betaine salicylate is an alternative ingredient to Salicylic acid but doesn’t have much data backing it up as more effective. However, depending on your skin, you might find betaine salicylate to work better on you. Moreover, it contains some ingredients ideal for dry skin and to keep the skin hydrated and moisturized (Butylene Glycol and Evening primrose flower extract). Lastly, it contains citric acid which can be irritating but it’s at a really low concentration and it’s a good ingredient to gently exfoliate the skin. According to Paula’s choice, it could be considered as an AHA but there’s not a lot of data backing that up. Glycolic acid and lactic acid are still more effective as exfoliators.

Conclusion – low ph good morning gel cleanser review 7/10

To conclude, I think this cleanser is more than okay. It’s a really good cleanser but not for me I would say because I don’t need such a gentle cleanser. I love that it’s vegan and that it’s at such an affordable price. I think that if you have a combination to dry skin, you might like this cleanser. For people with combination to oily skin, I would still recommend the Youth To The People superfood cleanser.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my blog.

Ok it probably won’t be for me either, but I weirdly like the packaging, it looks vintage 😂

I personally really don’t like this kind of packaging because it’s so hard to take all the product out! I always end up cutting the bottle to get everything out 😂
