Hello my pumpkins! Today, I am sharing with you my glossier skywash review. I have lots of glossier products to review for you so stay tuned for all of them in the next few weeks. I am starting with these liquid eyeshadows because they are new to the market so logically, I am more hasty to publish my review on them so that you can know whether they are worth it or not.
Now, don’t forget to check out my previous post : MARCH FAVORITES ’20 and let’s get into it!
Glossier Skywash Review
Product Information
This product is a matte liquid eyeshadow with a semi-transparent finish. The duo retails for 30$ while the single one retails for 18$. This product comes with 3.5ml of product and comes in 7 different shades. I have the shade Terra and Pool.
Glossier claims that the skywash has a liquid to power formula, has a soft and diffused effect that melts into the skin, is buildable to reach a “modern wash of color” and is long-lasting. Moreover, the shades available are inspired by “dreamy Southwest landscape” and are supposed to be easy to apply.
This product is of course cruelty-free and vegan and is available on Glossier’s website.
Packaging 4/5
These liquid eyeshadows come in a very aesthetic white tube with the top part being the same colour as the chosen shade and comes with a doe foot applicator. The packaging is fairly simple yet respects Glossier’s dreamy aesthetic. I don’t think these are the prettiest liquid eyeshadows in the market but they definitely follow my aesthetic and how I love my beauty products to look like. I love the minimalistic look. On top of that, I really appreciate how practical these eyeshadows are. They are super easy to travel with and are easy to store in your makeup vanity. Moreover, they do look gorgeous in photos.
Formula 3.5/5
Like Glossier claims, these liquid eyeshadows have a liquid to powder formula. The eyeshadow comes out wet but slowly dries to a powder formula with a matte finish. Even though, it has a very sheer finish, the product is still quite pigmented, blends super easily and beautifully on the lid and doesn’t look patchy whatsoever. The product does crease a little bit after a couple of hours but the colour stays the same which makes it quite long-lasting.
On another note, the product is easy to apply. I blend it with my fingers which allows it to melt into my skin and give a beautiful washed-off effect. For the blue shade, I do think it takes a lot of layers for the colour to appear like a washed-off pastel blue so it requires more effort but it does look absolutely gorgeous afterwards. And, like glossier claims it, it is buildable.
The terra shade is my personal favorite, it is absolutely beautiful and doesn’t require lots of layers so it’s perfect for daily makeup looks when you don’t feel like putting too much effort into a makeup look. You don’t actually need to set the colours unless you have oily eyelids, then maybe try to set them but I personally didn’t need to do that. The creasing didn’t look that awful on me.
One other thing that I liked with these eyeshadows is the dreamy and water-colour look they give. They truly give an effortless ethereal look which I love.

Conclusion – Glossier Skywash Review 7.5/10
To conclude, I really love these liquid eyeshadows. They perform wonderfully and are fairly easy to apply but they are not unique. I definitely think you can achieve the same result with a regular eyeshadow. Hence, I don’t think they are necessary or worth the 18$. It solely depends on whether you want them or not. If you don’t have a big eyeshadow collection or don’t own any of these colours and want something super quick and easy for a daily makeup look, then, these are perfect for you. But other than that, they are not a must-have in my opinion.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my mailing list.
