Product information

This brightening duo contains two serums, each containing 8ml of product. The set retails for 23$ and contains a B-hydra intensive hydration serum and C-firma day serum.

This duo is meant to target dullness, dryness, uneven texture and loss of firmness and elasticity. Drunk elephant describes this set as a “daily dose for your complexion [that] delivers powerful antioxidants to firm and brighten while replenishing essential hydration”.

The hydrating serum is described as a lightweight, hard-hitting serum with a ph level of 5.7 and that easily penetrates the skin. The c-firma serum is described as a powerful treatment that stays active for up to 72 hours and has a ph level of 3.3 to be as efficient and non-irritative as possible.

B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum:
-Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer: Penetrates skin deeply to deliver excellent hydration, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while promoting firmness.
-Pro-Vitamin B5: Attracts and holds hydration to the skin; helps to support skin’s barrier function.

C-Firma™ Day Serum:
-Potent Antioxidant Complex (15% L-Ascorbic Acid Plus Ferulic Acid And 1% Vitamin E): Works to firm and brighten the look and feel of skin while defending against the signs of photoaging, pollution, and other environmental stressors.

Moreover, the two serums are vegan, free of essential oils, silicones, and fragrance. The brand is of course cruelty-free and clean at Sephora!

Availability: Sephora and Drunk Elephant’s website.

Packaging 4.5/5

This duo comes in the cutest cardboard tube (I am not sure how to describe it) that is recyclable but that you could also re-use for something else. The packaging of the serums is pretty standard but cute. Both come in white plastic tube with a pump. The C-firma has an orange coloured pump and cap while the hydrating serum has a blue pump and cap. I love how each serum has its own colour and the colour represents what the serum does. Like, the C-firma is mainly vitamin C, and orange is the appropriate colour for this vitamin. While, B-hydra is all about hydrating a thirsty skin and blue is the ideal colour to represent moisture.

I especially love how practical the packaging is, they are easy to carry-around and use. Moreover, this duo is travel-friendly and the serums last surprisingly a long time.

Formula 4.5/5

Concerning the formula, these two serums perform like a dream and they are truly the perfect daily dose of vitamins in the morning. Like the instructions indicate it, I mix two pumps of each on my hand and apply it on my face every morning after I’ve cleansed. And, I have found that it leaves my skin looking very healthy, bright and hydrated. The B-hydra serum is very hydrating and it penetrates very quickly into the skin. After using it, it feels like I drank 20 cups of water because it really moisturizes the skin from the inside, not just superficially. The vitamin C serum really helped with my dark spots and to overall brighten my skin. It actually took 2 months for me to see a major difference but I did.

Together, these serums are a power duo, seriously. I love how my skin looks with them. I did get the opportunity to try each alone but I didn’t like them as much as when they perform together.

On another note, both serums do not seem to have a scent so they are both fragrance free.

Conclusion – Drunk elephant rise and glow duo review 9/10

To conclude, I really enjoyed using this brightening duo, it truly keeps my skin very hydrated and nourished and I did see a major difference in my dark spots. Moreover, this set is available at a very fair price and lasts a long time for just 8ml. I definitely recommend it and I am sure that I’ll repurchase it later on.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review. If you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my mailing list.
