REVIEW // Brightening Set by OleHenriksen

Happy Tuesday my pumpkins! Today, I am sharing with you my Olehenriksen brightening set review. I’ve actually been trying these products for a while now but I recently purchased this set. I used to use the Truth serum and banana bright eye cream religiously but it’s my first time trying the gel cream!

Olehenriksen Brightening Set review

Product information

This set retails for 38$ and comes with three products: a full size C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream (35ml), a mini size Truth Serum (15ml) and a mini size Banana Bright Eye cream (7ml).

This set is “a glow-boosting set of three vitamin C skincare bestsellers to reveal your radiance and target visible signs of aging”. It is targeted at dull, uneven and dry skin.

The two key ingredients are banana (in the eye cream) which illuminate the skin and a derivative of Vitamin C, which is meant to brighten the skin.

This set is cruelty-free and is available at Sephora.

Packaging 4.5/5

The packaging of these three products is pretty coherent and consistent. The tube/ jar is orange and the cap/ pump is white. The gel cream actually has the prettiest festive designs on the jar and on the white cap which I personally love. There’s nothing luxurious about the packaging of these products but they definitely don’t feel cheap. On top of that, I absolutely love the fact that the gel cream and eye cream are in a jar not a tube, it’s more aesthetic to be honest and you can really get the last ounce of product

Formula 4/5

My favorite product out of the three will have to be the Truth Serum. It definitely does what it claims and more. My skin always feel so bright, hydrated and healthy when I use it and I love how light weight it is. It is so good for oily skin types but it is also great for normal and dry skin types. On the long term, my skin does feel more bright, my acne spots look less apparent and my skin looks plumped.

The gel cream has a very lightweight consistency and it absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. It does an amazing job at hydrating your skin without making it look oily. This gel cream is not necessarily targeted to people with dry skin but it does work on dry/sensitive skin. I would not recommend it though cause it does not get rid of dry patches or redness. But what I mean, is that it just works well and does not irritate dry skin. Concerning the brightening effect, I don’t think it does anything on the long term. If you want to brighten your skin, I would recommend the serum not the moisturizer.

The banana bright eye cream is probably their most famous product. It is so good to illuminate your under eyes and make you look less sleepy instantly. I wouldn’t recommend it for really dry under eye skin as it does not do an amazing job at hydrating but it’s perfect for normal to oily under eyes. Moreover, it actually diminish the appearance of dark circles on the long term.

One thing that I HATE about these products is how heavily scented they are. The scent does not linger after you’ve applied them but it’s a martyr while applying them!

Conclusion – Olehenriksen Brightening set review 8.5/10

To conclude, this set is a staple! You honestly get a lot for the price and the products perform wonderfully. I definitely recommend it if you want an easy AM skincare routine that actually show results and really, at that price, you won’t lose anything if you purchase it. It’s a good set to make you discover the products and help you decide whether you want to stick with them or not.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my mailing list.

The fact that the set is $38 I’m like 😱😱 so so good! I already love the truth serum, it did wonders for my skin! I would love to try the other two as well and see how I like them. I think I’m ready to incorporate more high end skincare into my routine.

I know, it’s so inexpensive for what you get!! I think some high end products are definitely worth the price but it’s really tricky to know which will work on your skin and which will not. Thank you for reading xx
