REVIEW // Overtime Mask by Summer Fridays

Hello my pumpkins! Today, I am sharing with you my Summer Fridays overtime mask review. I’ve been talking about it non-stop on my Instagram since I got it so if you follow me there, you probably already know how much I love it. But, I still wanted to offer a detailed review on how it performs and why I love it!

Don’t forget to check out my previous post: Movies I Watched in September 2019 – From Worst To Best and let’s get into it!

Summer Fridays Overtime Mask Review

Product Information

summer fridays overtime mask review.jpg

The overtime mask is “a clarifying mask that uses vitamin-packed pumpkin and exfoliating apricot seed powder to polish away dead skin cells for a luminous effect”. It retails for 44$ and contains 64g of product. This mask claims to gently exfoliate the skin while leaving a glowy and bright complexion. It contains “soothing oat kernel proteins and free radical-fighting antioxidants” but the star ingredient is pumpkin which is a packed with vitamin A and C!

It is recommend to use it 2 to 3 times per week, apply it on a dry face, rub it across the face then leave it on for 10 minutes.

This product is clean at Sephora, it is vegan and cruelty-free!

You can purchase it at your local Sephora or on Summer Friday’s official website.

Packaging 4.5/5

This mask comes in a squeezable tube that actually looks like a paint tube and it has a pumpkin kind of color, it even has the same texture as a paint tube. The closure (or cap, not sure how I am supposed to call it) is actually independent and you need to twist it and remove it to use the product. Which actually bothers me a little, because you can easily lose it. Nevertheless, the packaging is very aesthetic and would look gorgeous on any flatlay. Moreover, it is actually very practical cause you can easily get every last amount of product and you are sure you’re not wasting any.

For the price you are paying, I think the packaging is really original and does not feel cheap at all.

Formula 4.5/5

This mask has become an essential part of my AM routine. I use it 2 times per week, usually before I do my makeup because it leaves my skin EXTRA smooth, it gets rid of all of my dead skin and leaves my skin looking so glowy. Personally, I do not see any brightening effect but I still love it for the immediate effect it gives me. On top of that, it actually smells like autumn.

I personally like to use it on a wet skin to gently exfoliate the skin and currently, my skin is SO sensitive and dry. I definitely love the fact that you can easily use this on different skin types; if you’re skin is more on the oily side, you can easily use it on dry skin.

I don’t think I’ve ever loved a physical exfoliator more than I love this one.

Conclusion – Summer Fridays overtime mask review 9/10

To conclude, this mask is a staple in my skincare collection. I love it and cannot see my skincare routine without it, especially that I am not in a position to use a chemical exfoliant and this pairs well with Retinol and Vitamin C. I definitely recommend this product, if you are looking for a good physical exfoliator and/or exfoliating mask.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to subscribe to my mailing list.

I only read positive reviews on this mask, I really want to get it. I love the simple packing and I love the pact that you are able to use it all up because of tube. Lovely review. xx

Great review, this product sounds amazing! I’ve been wanting to incorporate Vitamin C into my skincare routine for a while, so the pumpkin ingredient sounds fab. Also, how pretty and autumnal is the packaging! 😍🍂 x

I’ve seen this mask/brand very few times. It looks so good and I’ve been loving exfoliators lately in general for some reason. Idk if I can justify the price 🙈 but who knows maybe someday I can afford it and try it out myself

yes it’s very pricey and honestly I don’t think I’ll repurchase it for that reason. At some point, I’ll go back to my trustworthy glow tonic by Pixi Beauty. But until then, I use this! Thanks for reading xx

I still haven’t tried the glow tonic and some people say it’s amazing and others say it doesn’t make a difference lol. I will have to try it myself to find out.

it really depends, if your skin is used to strong AHAs then the glow tonic will do nothing for you. and it also depends on your skin type, I think it’s a really good product for normal/dry/combo skin
