REVIEW // Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation by Fenty Beauty

Happy Monday my pumpkins! Today, I am sharing with you yet another review, the Fenty Beauty hydrating foundation review. About two years ago, Rihanna came out with a matte foundation which received a lot of love. I was not able to purchase it because I personally hate full coverage matte foundations. So, when she revealed this launch, I was so excited because this is definitely the kind of foundation I wanted her to release, as I am a big fan of her products!

Now, if you want to know my honest opinion on this hydrating foundation then keep on reading! Also, don’t forget to check out my previous review: REVIEW // Your Skin But Better CC Cream by It Cosmetics and my trip to france Vlog.

Product Information

This foundation comes with 32ml of product, retails for 35$ and is available in 50 different shades.

Fenty Beauty states that the foundation allows you to “get a perfectly smooth, natural-looking finish that lets skin look like skin” They also add that they created this formula “with grape seed oil and sodium hyaluronate to make a foundation that normal and dry skin types will love”.

So in other words, this foundation delivers a hydrating, comfortable, medium to full coverage that is long-lasting and that looks natural. This product is of course cruelty-free!

Packaging 5/5

This foundation comes in a squeezable tube and pump. It is travel-friendly and has a pretty neat and stylish packaging. The whole tube takes the color of the foundation’s shade, there are white brush strokes on the upper part of the tube and the brand’s name written in vertical in white. I really love the design of the packaging and how it looks, it looks so aesthetic and perfect for photos! Even though, it is not heavy, it feels and looks expensive.

The only thing I am trying to get used to is the fact that the tube is so malleable, I am always afraid to squeeze it too hard.

Formula 5/5

I am usually not a big fan of foundations because they tend to look cakey, heavy and unnatural. This foundation, however, is remarkable. I only use one pump and a half to give me a light to medium coverage, yet it is enough to even out my skin tone and to give me a natural and glowy finish. [This amount is not enough to cover acne but I don’t like to cover my blemishes, it actually looks worse when I do]. I personally do not have a dry skin so I can’t really tell if it’s hydrating but it is for sure not dewy or oily. It gives a beautiful healthy glow. It glides on beautifully on the skin and looks one with the skin.

I think it has a buildable coverage, so if you need to cover extra spots, you can.

Concerning the longevity, I think it lasts a pretty long-time. It does not break anywhere, or does not look oily at the end of the day, it looks the same as the first time you applied it, which i think is amazing. I tried it several times for more than 6 hours and it always ended up looking beautiful. I also mixed it with my summer tinted moisturizer, it looked beautiful!

Concerning the shade range, like the concealer that I own, this foundation comes in so many different shades. I like how anyone can find their shades exactly like their skin. I have the shade 180 and it matches so well with my skin tone that it doesn’t even look like I am wearing foundation.

Conclusion – Fenty Beauty Hydrating Foundation review 10/10

To conclude, I really recommend Fenty Beauty’s hydrating foundation. It has an exceptional natural finish, builds up easily to a medium to full-coverage, is ideal for different skin types [I have a combination skin] and is long-lasting!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

Good to know. I have used the original foundation, and I love it. Will give this one a try. Fenty is the only company that matches my skin tone. Thanks for sharing. xx

it’s great!! I agree, it’s pricy and usually I think well before buying an expensive foundation. Since I don’t wear makeup often, it lasts me a long time which is cool!!
