REVIEW // Rose Gold Sunset palette by ELF

Hello everyone and welcome back! Today, I am sharing with you a review on the rose gold sunset palette by ELF cosmetics. I received this palette in complimentary by Influenster however this post is not sponsored and all opinions stated in this article are honest, I assure you. This is actually the first time I ever try an ELF product and I was pleasantly surprised.

Anyways, if you want to know my honest opinion on this Rose Gold Sunset palette by ELF then keep on reading. And, don’t forget to check out my previous post: SUMMER BEAUTY ESSENTIALS ’19.

Product Information – Sunset palette by Elf

This palette is a revisitation of ELF’s best seller rose gold palette. However, the shades in this one are deeper and warmer hence why it’s called Rose Gold Sunset palette. Elf claims that this palette helps to create multidimensional looks. Plus, they claim that “these ultra-pigmented, finely-milled eyeshadows glide on perfectly whether you’re in the mood for a subtle or bold eye.”

This palette contains 10 eyeshadows: 4 mattes and 6 shimmers, none of them have names. It retails for 10$ and contains 12g of product.

This palette is cruelty-free and vegan.

And, is available at Ulta, Shopper’s drug mart and Elf’s official website.

Packaging 4/5

For 10$, this palette has a pretty sleek packaging. It’s made out of hard plastic, black and the top cover is transparent. It does not contain any mirror [surely to keep the price down] however, the palette is pretty compact and does not take a lot of space in your make bag which is awesome. Moreover, I love how the eyeshadows are organized and the fact that no empty space is spared.

Formula 3.5/5

Again, for 10$, the formula of these eyeshadows is very decent however they are not high-performance as ELF claims it. The mattes are pretty pigmented and buttery however they are not that easy to blend. The shimmers are nicely foiled and pigmented but they are not that intense, their sheen is very subtle.

Nevertheless, like ELF claims it this palette is very versatile, you can easily create several different warm-toned looks, from a smokey eye to a subtle golden look. I really enjoy this color scheme, it’s déjà-vu and basic but for a person who is looking for a good and affordable warm-toned palette, this one is perfect for you.

Conclusion 7.5/10

This is a pretty affordable palette with a decent formula and a beautiful warm color scheme. Of course, you can easily find an affordable palette with the same colors and with an even better formula [Colourpop, BH Cosmetics]. But, I think for 10$, you get what you expect, and a little better.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

This looks like such a gorgeous palette. I’ve only ever tried one of their palettes and it was a big 100 piece color palette. That was like years ago.
I’ve always wanted to try these kind of palettes though.
It’s too bad that the shades are a bit hard to blend but yeah, price does have a lot to do with that. Either way, I feel like elf has stepped up their game in general and I’m excited to see what else they release in the future.
