REVIEW // Stellar Lights Highlighter Palette by Milani

Hello my lovely pumpkins and welcome back! Today, I am reviewing the highlighter palette by Milani. I feel like Milani is such an underrated brand. I don’t hear a lot of people talk about it but I am so always so interested to try it out. Mainly, because of their very fancy packaging :p

Like, I mentioned previously, I am going to start reviewing more cruelty-free drugstore products. Let me know in the comment section below what are your favorite cruelty-free drugstore brands. I would love to discover new brands!

Now, if you want to know my honest opinion on this highlighter palette by Milani, then keep on reading. Don’t forget to check out my previous post: SUMMER SUNSHINE // Neutral Eyes + Yellow Eyeliner

Product Information

This stellar lights palette comes with three highlighters and retails for 12.99$. Moreover, the whole palette contains 12g/0.42oz of product.

I have the palette “Rose Glow” and the respective shades are “Pearl“, “Golden Quartz” and “Rose Gold“. This palette is also available in other shades, “Holographic beams”.

The claims on this palette are that these highlighters are versatile, they can be worn on the eyes, on the face, together or each alone. They are highly blendable and “light-reflecting shades that seamlessly glide onto skin for a natural to high impact glow”.

You can get your hands on this palette at Milani’s official website, Ulta or Shopper’s drug mart.

Packaging 4.5/5

Again, Milani impresses me with their luxurious packaging. These three highlighters come in a hard plastic package, the top cover is transparent which allows us to see the three beautiful shades and the rest is gold. The packaging is very iconic and true to Milani hence why I love it so much. This is obviously not the pretties hihglighting palette I own, I am hinting at Kylie Cosmetics’ weather collection highlighter palette but for the price, it is a big hit!

The only think that bothers me is that I feel like it can easily break? Even though it’s not glass, I just feel like the plastic is too fragile and can break easily.

Formula 4/5

I still cannot believe that this palette is from a drugstore brand because the formula is insane and answers to all of the claims Milani states. It is so blinding, super blendable and it gives a gorgeous wet sheen [not glittery]. I think it can emphasize the texture on your skin if you do not apply a primer that smoothes out your skin, but it’s nothing too annoying. Concerning the shades, they are true to their description and to what you see on the pan.

The only downside with this palette is that the shades don’t match my skin tone.  Pearl is too light on me and the two other shades are a bit too dark which makes it harder for me to play with them. Milani does mention that you can mix these shades and that’s what I do but sometimes, I want to apply an intense gold on my cheekbones.

Conclusion 8.5/10

To conclude, I really love this highlighting palette even though the shades are not right for me. I definitely will try them out in summer when I am more tanned.

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this review and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

The first shade is so pretty but the other two would be wayyyy to dark for me, plus I tend to like more pinky shades, the formula sounds amazing though

Such a shame that the shades don’t work for you! I’m really drawn to the first shade but the other two will be too dark for me. It’s such a beautiful palette and quite affordable for Milani though. Great review and I love the pictures!

I hate the fact that we can’t get Milani here easily. I really want to try their blushes and highlighters, but they are so hard to get. These shades are so pretty, I hope you can wear all of them in summer time, because they are so pretty. But you can still use them as eye shadows, so you get use of all of them. Lovely review. xx
