Hello my dear pumpkins and happy Friday!
Today, I am not uploading any video because I didn’t have the time to edit the video that I filmed so I am hoping to publish it next week instead but meanwhile, I am sharing with you all of the beauty trends you should look for this spring/summer 2019. I gathered these trends from different magazines and also from some fashion trends that I think can look amazing on the face!!
Now without further ado, let’s get into it, and don’t forget to check out my previous post: GLOSSY LOOK // Mint green eyes + rosy lips (which actually follows one of the trends)
NEON COLOURS
That trend is already big in the fashion industry and apparently is taking over the beauty industry, according to Elle France. In the article they mention that you can pair this bold look with a nude lipstick or lip gloss! But in general, I do agree with them, I think bold colorful looks are very in this spring/summer, I see lots of makeup artists going for these colors. A simple example, Jeffree Star came out with his Blue palette, ABH came out with their first bold palette with bold pink/purple shades.
EFFORTLESS GLAMOUR
So this trend actually replaces the Instagram makeup look and I think it’s my favorite trend because I HATE Instagram makeup, it’s unnaturally ugly :p
Elle France calls this look “Teint Bonne Mine” and they mention that this trend consists of wearing very light coverage and letting your skin breath, putting a little bit of bronzer to just warm the skin, maybe add a bit of highlighter and set the face with facial mist.
Bazaar states: ““Using skincare and make-up to achieve a luminous, almost wet look to the base, heavy foundations and powders are replaced with luminous tinted moisturisers and face oils.” And don’t even mention contouring.”
They also mention the one-eyeshadow type of eye makeup looks which I love a lot. It’s all about being simple and natural yet put a touch of glamour (like a bold eyeshadow).
BALLET INSPIRED/PASTEL COLOURS
So I saw a couple of fashion bloggers mention that Ballet inspired looks are very in right now and how can we apply this for makeup? well, powdery ballet pink color, so basically pastel pink is going to become a very trendy color. Elle mentions that it’s all pastel colors such as light lavender which I think is awesome because pastel colors make a makeup look look very fresh and natural.
Glowsly mentions that the trendy pastel colors are again, pastel pink, light lavender, lilac, Egg-Yolk pastel yellow and clearwater blue. I think all of these colors can be applied on the face, as eyeshadows to be more precise.
YELLOW
Yellow is again a color that is trendy this year. This color was very in last year and I even wrote a post about it: Yellow: the hot color of this season.
I think this is my favorite trend of all time cause I LOVE the color yellow and I achieved a lot of yellow makeup looks, my most recent is: HELLO SPRING // yellow eye makeup + flower freckles.
Glowsly mention in their article that the yellow shades that are trendy are: Egg-Yolk pastel yellow [like I mentioned above], Lemon Verbena, it’s a cheerful lemony colour and Aspen gold, it’s a deep yellow that merges towards the orange.
GREEN
Green is also very in this spring/summer and you know how much I love green eye makeup looks, they are my favorite. I know that cargo style/ mitilaristic style is really in right now in the fashion industry, I went shopping yesterday and I actually saw it EVERYWHERE :P.
Glowsly again mentions that the trendy green colors are: Terranium Moss (military green), pepper stem and neon green (like I mentioned above).
Glamour mentions as well that mint is a trendy color this spring/summer. I think all of these greens can be worn on the eyes, especially mint green, I think it makes any makeup look look super fresh, like the mint! A bit like yellow, you can wear green on your lower lash line, tear dot or all over the lid.
-all photos were retrieved from the articles I mentioned-
That’s it for today. I know there are tons of other trends I could talk about but I am going to stop here. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

I love the yellow and green but not a fan of the pastels
Author
yes I actually wouldn’t wear pastels a lot but yellow and green are everything! thanks for passing by xx
Oh girl I’m with you on Instagram makeup, I hate it. It is so bad to see people caking their faces with so much foundation. I like light coverage foundation or tinted moisturizers and then add coverage with concealer where you need it, because it is so much better for skin. I’m here for effortless glamour, it’s my kind of makeup definitely. xx

yes exactly!! I used to wear full coverage foundations all the time, I don’t know how I used to do that. Now, I am trying my best to stay away from full coverage!!
