Hello my lovely pumpkins and welcome back!
Today, I am going to share with you my thoughts on Fenty Beauty’s stunna lip paint in the shade “Uncensored”, the first shade she ever came out with and “Unveil”. These liquid lipsticks are very famous in the beauty community, all beauty bloggers and bloggers rave about them, saying they are the best formula. I am here to share with you my honest and unbiased opinion so keep on reading if you want to know whether these liquid lipstick live up to their reputation.
Also, I don’t know if you guys noticed but I am buying a lot of Fenty Beauty products lately just because her products are so appealing, here are my previous reviews from the brand: Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer by Fenty Beauty – Review & Swatches, Bomb Baby Mini Lip & Face Set by Fenty Beauty – Review, Swatches & Dupes and Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick by Fenty Beauty – Review, Swatch & Dupes.
These liquid lipsticks come in 8 shades, each retail for 30CAD or 24$, I have the shade “Uncensored”, a universal red and “Unveil” a chocolate brown. Each liquid lipstick contain 4ml of product and they are cruelty-free.
The claims are “A weightless, long-wearing, liquid lipstick with a soft-matte finish—born in a range of head-turning shades that look incredible on all skin tones”
I think this is the prettiest packaging for a liquid lipstick, I love how sleek the bottle is, it looks very expensive. I love the glass container to be able to see the shade and the top of the lipstick which is silver with the name of the brand written on it. I just really love the packaging, it’s so beautiful. The container is clear, it doesn’t have any writing which I like. All the information are below the lipstick.
I like the applicator, I think it does make applying the liquid lipstick easier, easier to shape your lips but take in consideration that it is short compared to regular liquid lipsticks, it’s not something I mind but just, keep that in mind.
A 4/5 just because the formula is not transfer-proof, and I don’t like that, even though it doesn’t claim to be transfer-proof whatsoever but that’s the main reason why I wouldn’t reach for this liquid lipstick on a daily basis but other than that, the formula is on point: highly pigmented, VERY liquidy so I would advice you to take care, it applies evenly on the lips, the formula is very thin so it feels very comfortable once it is set. It is not transfer-proof but it does not transfer all over your mouth, the formula is semi-matte, but you can easily eat wearing it, you just have to take care.
The shades themselves are absolutely gorgeous: the red is so beautiful, it’s the perfect classic red that I think can go with every skin tone, but let me know if I am wrong. The chocolate brown is a true chocolate brown, the shade is beautiful, not the shade I would reach for on a daily basis but it’s pretty. I do regret not buying a nude shade cause I would reach for the nude shade more than for the brown shade but well. I am also very curious to know if the nude shades oxidize or not, let me know in the comments below.
For the price point, I think these liquid lipsticks are worth it, especially the red shade “uncensored” but I don’t know I am not tempted by all of the other shades, if you are than great, the formula is amazing, go buy yourself one but if not, I don’t think you’re missing on on something.
