Lolita Ink Well Long-Wear Matte EyeLiner by Kat Von D – Review & Swatches

Hello my lovely pumpkins and welcome back!

Today, I am reviewing Kat Von D’s newest liquid eyeliner in the shade “Lolita”. She recently came up with a whole collection in honor of her most famous liquid lipstick’s  shade “Lolita” but I only got the liquid liner because that what interested me the most. Nothing from her products really appeals to me.

I got mine from Sephora, but when I go on their website, I can’t find it but I assure you it was available in store a couple of days ago, I actually purchased it last Thursday :p

Now, without further ado, let’s get into this review and don’t forget to read my previous post, it’s a makeup look that I actually achieved with this eye liner :p: Geometric Eye Makeup Look + Glossy Lips

This liquid eyeliner retails for 20$ and contains 2ml of product, it is available in 7 different shades including black and “Lolita” which is a chestnut rose. These eyeliners are vegan and cruelty-free.

The claims on these liquid eyeliner are: “Ink Well Liner’s super-innovative formula sets the bar even higher with extreme long wear and waterproof, transfer-proof, smudge-proof performance—all in a spectrum of highly pigmented shades for 1-swipe matte opacity, no layering needed.”

You can get your hands on these eyeliners at Sephora or Kat Von D’s website.

Packaging 4/5

The packaging for this liner is so sleek and nice, I love the gothic theme, which is practically everywhere at Kat Von D and which actually makes her products unique. I love how the packaging of the eyeliner takes the shade of the eyeliner, and I love the silver gothic writings as well as the shape of the eyeliner, it looks like a sword.

On top of that, I love the applicator, it’s very precise and easy to use and it’s not too flexible that you can easily lose control of the brush, if you see what I mean.

Formula 2/5

oki now the formula of this eyeliner is a disaster and I am not even kidding. When I purchased this, I didn’t even check the ratings or other people’s reviews and I regret not doing that because I feel like I just wasted my money. The shade is absolutely gorgeous but omg it’s a such hazard to work with. First of all, it’s not even that pigmented and consistent, it takes a lot of dipping to create one simple eyeliner and the wing line ends up looking uneven. Second of all, it’s too liquidy/watery so it can get so messy and the line doesn’t end up precise. Third of all, it just dries too fast, you can’t  even make touch-ups :p at least, it does claim to be matte and it is but man it becomes matte too fast. The only good thing is that it’s actually VERY long -lasting so once the struggle is over, you are left with a nice, I’d say, wing line that will last you all night long.

Swatches

It does swatch nicely though but don’t get fooled, cause it does not perform the same on your eyes!

I really love the colours of this! But it’s such a shame to hear about the quality of the liner itself. I adore her Tattoo Liner pen, and you would hope this would perform just as well x
