Hello my pumpkins, welcome back, welcome if you are new, join the pumpkin family, by subscribing to my blog, we have fun here!!
I am finally done with 3 of my exams, I still have one on Monday but I have time to study for that one so here I am, blogging again and today, I am reviewing two of Huda Beauty’s Obsessions palette: Emerald [green] and Amethyst [purple]. I never planned on buying any of these tiny adorable palettes but I realized while organizing my makeup vanity that I don’t own a lot of purple and green eyeshadows. To be honest, I think these palettes look gorgeous and I fell in love when I saw the Emerald one at Sephora.

This introduction is getting long so let’s get into this review!
Product Information
The Huda Beauty Obsessions palette is available in 11 different colors: Coral, Gemstone, Electric, Smokey, Mauve, Warm Brown, Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire and Emerald. The most recent ones are the four last ones I mentioned and I got the Emerald and Amethyst ones.
Emerald and Amethyst contain 9 eyeshadows: 3 mattes and 6 duo-chrome shimmers, each eyeshadow contain 1.1g of product and each palette retails for 27$.

Packaging
I love how these little palettes look like; the packaging [color and diamond design on the front cover] represent well the shades that are inside and it is gorgeous, each new palette is named after a diamond so I think the packaging reflect that super well, I feel like I own two gorgeous diamonds. Moreover, they are tiny which makes it super easy to carry around with you and I like the fact that it contains a mirror so that makes it travel-friendly. The closure is magnetic by the way.
The palettes are very practical because you’ve got all of the colors you’ll need to create a purple/green eye makeup look. All the shades coordinate so well together and it’s crazy how many looks you can create with such limited color selection.
Huda Beauty did an amazing job at designing the packaging of these palettes, I like how these palettes look better than the old obsessions palette.
Formula
Now let’s talk about how the eyeshadow perform on the eyes, you guys know that I adore my Desert Dusk palette and here’s the review if you’re interested: the matte eyeshadows blend super nicely and evenly, they are very pigmented, however they have a lot fall outs, and the palette can look super messy after just one use, just saying. Concerning the shimmery shades, the colors are absolutely gorgeous, and they look stunning on the eyes but the downside is that you can only apply them with your fingers or a wet brush, I tried applying them with a non-wet brush and honestly, nothing was showing. Also, they are pretty long-lasting and the colors appear the same in the pan as in the eyes [something really important to me].
In the Emerald palette, you have to work harder with the light mint shade because it’s so light so it doesn’t really appear on the first use, but once you build it up, it looks beautiful on the eyes.
Swatches
I do have one comment: they don’t swatch as beautiful as they perform on the eyes so don’t get thrown off if you happen to swatch them in the store.
Conclusion
You should definitely get these palettes if you’re looking for a palette that follow one theme. The color selection is limited but I think that was the point when Huda Beauty created them. I also think the price, 27$, is totally worth it because the eyeshadows perform really well and the packaging is stunning.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
