Hello my pumpkins!
I am back with another review [I know three consecutive reviews is a lot but don’t worry I’ve got a makeup look coming for you this friday] and today I am reviewing the Naked Skin Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation by Urban Decay. I’ve actually wanted to pick this up for a long time now so I am happy I finally got to try it. You guys know that I love the concealer that goes with it and I was hoping the foundation would have the same formula and it does!
Now let’s get into this review but don’t forget to check out my previous post: The Weather Collection Highlighter Palette by Kylie Cosmetics: Review & Swatches
Product Information
This liquid foundation retails for 40$ and you get 30ml of product which is very standard for a foundation.
Urban Decay claims that this product is “an oil-free, lightweight liquid foundation that feels like wearing nothing at all, while leaving a demi-matte finish”, has a medium coverage but is buildable, leaves a luminous finish and has nourishing ingredients like “Matrixyl 3000 (a powerful anti-wrinkle peptide), protective and brightening Litchiderm™, antioxidant green tea, and sodium hyaluronate for optimal skin hydration and nutrient absorption”.
Of course, Urban Decay is cruelty-free and you can get this product from here
Packaging
The packaging of this foundation is pretty simple yet very sleek and nice at the same time. It comes in a transparent plastic bottle which makes this foundation travel-friendly and it has a pump, something very important to me. I surely like having it in my makeup collection, I think it looks pretty on my makeup vanity.
Formula
I am so happy that this foundation is working really well on my skin, I was afraid it wouldn’t. I actually love the formula; it is very light-weight, has a semi-matte and luminous finish and the coverage is buildable. For me, this foundation offers a light to medium coverage, I would have preferred a medium coverage [not light to medium] but it’s fine, it’s buildable and the finish still looks flawless and natural.
The shade matches my skin tone pretty well, it’s has a golden undertone and I prefer olive undertones but it’s fine, it still matches me pretty well and sinks beautifully on my skin.
It is very long-lasting and still look perfect after 7 hours.
I precisely like a foundation that gives a natural finish, skin-like finish and this foundation definitely offers this kind of result so if you like this kind of finish [light to medium coverage and skin-like], I definitely recommend it.
Dupes
I’ve researched a bit on similar formulas for a cheaper price and I found that the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation is very similar as well as the L’Oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous foundation.
These two are for normal/dry skin, they don’t have a semi-matte finish but I don’t know, I read reviews and a lot of them said that they are similar to the Naked Skin foundation. you can still check and let me know!
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
