Hello my pumpkins and happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great week-end. Today I am not reviewing a movie cause I didn’t have the time last week to go to the movies. Instead, I am reviewing the Basket Case Anti-Precision Eyeliner by Kat Von D, which is a collaboration with my idol, Billie Joe Armstrong. You guys know that I am a HUGE Green Day fan so when Kat Von D announced that she was gonna collaborate with the lead singer, Billie Joe, I FREAKED OUT!
Basically this eyeliner was created to achieve Billie Joe Armstrong’s signature look [which I dreamed of having when I was 13] and if you want to know if it’s a hit then keep on reading.
This baby here retails for 19$ and contains 1.4g of product [pretty standard for an eyeliner and fair price for a KVD product].
It’s an “easy-to-use, smudgeable eye pencil for unstoppable smoky eyes, inspired by Billie Joe Armstrong’s signature look.”
This product is of course cruelty-free, like any of KVD products and is free of parabens.
The shade available is called “Insomniac Black” [“Insomniac” is an album by Green Day] and it is a pitch black color.

The packaging of the product is really cool, it is of course highly inspired by Green Day [“Basket Case” has the same font as the title of the “Dookie” album”], it actually looks and feels very high-end, I couldn’t expect less from Kat Von D. The cap of the eyeliner has the hand-written signature of both Kat and Billie Joe, which I think is really cool. All the writings are in gold, which I think looks very pretty with the overall look.
The eyeliner is actually a thick pencil that you can roll up.
I really loved the formula of this eyeliner, like it claims to, it is very pigmented, super easy to smudge and very long-lasting. Of course, it dries down pretty quickly so if you want to achieve a smudged look, make sure you blend the eyeliner asap.
It’s good to use on the lid but also on the lower lash line and waterline. It goes on very well on top of concealer and eyeshadow so don’t worry about that. I also love the fact that the pencil is thick, it obviously makes it easier to have a anti-precise result.
If you want to easily achieve a smokey eye or need a good eyeliner, I really recommend this one. It is not ideal for a perfect wing line but it’s amazing if you want to get a messy and smudged wing line. Moreover, the eyeliner can look very pretty on your make-up vanity and who does not want that.
if you are not willing to spend 19$ on this eye pencil, NYX has a cheap alternative for you, the “Jumpo Eye Pencil”. Sephora also proposes the “Colourful shadow & liner”, which can be used as an eyeshadow and eyeliner.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
