Hello my pumpkins and welcome back!
In today’s article I am reviewing the famous Soft Glam palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. If you follow me on twitter you know that I’ve wanted this palette since it came out because honestly, LOOK HOW GORGEOUS IT IS! This is actually my first eyeshadow palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills so I was very excited to try it out and write a detailed review on it!
Without further ado let’s get into this review!
The Soft Glam palette is a “an everyday to night palette” that retails for 42$. The set contains 14 shades in matte, metallic and duo chrome finishes [each has 0.74g of product], a dual-ended brush and a mirror.
The shades are:
Tempera (ultra-matte velvety beige)
Glistening (iridescent gold with a hint of pink reflect)
Orange Soda (ultra-matte pastel peach)
Rose Pink (rose gold with a soft pink iridescent hue)
Sultry (a hybrid satin metallic finish warm chocolate brown)
Bronze (metallic gold bronze)
Mulberry (ultra-matte mulberry)
Dusty Rose (ultra-matte dusty lilac)
Fairy (multi-dimensional light gold)
Burnt Orange (ultra-matte deep orange)
Sienna (ultra-matte earthy brown)
Rustic (ultra-matte deep cinnamon brown)
Cypress Umber (ultra-matte dark coffee)
Noir (ultra-matte deep carbon black)
It is available at Sephora of course!
The packaging of the set is gorgeous and very glamorous, it definitely reflects the theme behind it and the shades. The palette is covered in suede [I think] which feels very soft, it has a magnetic opening and has a sort of fabric hanging out to open it gently and easily. I love the big mirror inside and I actually like the dual-ended brush, it’s really good. This palette is also travel-friendly which I think is important!
Concerning the eyeshadows themselves, I love the shades, they are definitely up my alley and they all go very well with each other [they look so pretty all together].
The only thing I HATE is the sticker in the back where the product informations are written, I just think it looks so cheap.
I absolutely love this palette, I love the shades so much, you can create so many diverse looks with it but still look super glamorous. I totally agree when ABH says that this palette is an everyday to night out palette because it is very accurate.
I love the fact that there is more matte shades than metallic ones because I like matte shades better.
All of the shades with no exception perform really well, they are very pigmented, have a good color pay-off and blend effortlessly. The most important thing is that the color of the eyeshadows do not change once you apply them on your eyes [there was this problem with the Subculture palette apparently].
One thing you have to keep in mind is that they’re very powdery so make sure you tap off the excess before applying them on your eyes.
I know that a lot of the shades in this palette are also present in the Modern Renaissance one but I definitely recommend the “Soft Glam” palette, it is filled with basic shades that I think everyone should own and it has some gorgeous and unique shades like “Dusty Rose”. Moreover, I think this palette is perfect to travel with, I mean you have all the shades you need to create any look, you have a big mirror and a double-ended brush.
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
