Hello my lovely pumpkins and Happy Women’s Day [I know it was yesterday]
In today’s post, I am reviewing this water foundation by Tarte Cosmetics. This foundation was part of my sephora wish-list a few months ago and I actually randomly purchased it two months ago from a girl who did not want it, the shade was too dark for her. Anyways, I was happy I got it and keep reading if you want to know my thoughts on this high-end foundation!

So this foundation retails for 39$, is available in 21 different shades and has 30ml of product. This foundation claims to
– be lightweight and full-coverage
– be super hydrating and vegan with non-chemical SPF 15
– leave the skin glowy and flawless for up to 12 hours
– hide fine lines, breakouts, pores, dark circles, and more with buildable coverage
– be formulated with 20 percent water and antioxidant-rich algae to smooth the look of fine lines

The packaging is gorgeous, it comes in a transparent glass bottle, has golden writings on it and the applicator is a dropper. The cover of the dropper is what makes this foundation stand-out, it has this gorgeous ombre/holographic effect. In general, I really love how the foundation looks, it definitely screams “rainforest” and “luxurious” when I see it!
The applicator is not the easiest thing to use, in fact, I think it’s quite messy. Plus, the fact that it’s in glass makes it not travel-friendly.
On another note, the golden writings started to fade out a month after I’ve purchased it and that’s kind of disappointing. I mean for 39$, I wish the writings would stay :p
I actually really love this foundation for diverse reasons: I really love the finish, it’s glowy and hydrating but it’s not too dewy, the foundation is very light-weight and the coverage is medium to full [with four drops]. Moreover, It does not emphasize my pores, it does not settle into my fine lines, it does not oxidize and it does not look cakey after a few hours, it stays perfect and beautiful all day long. However, I still need concealer to hide my blemishes as it’s not full full-coverage.
This foundation really makes my skin look healthier, has a good coverage [if you like medium to full] and is long-lasting. If you want to purchase it, I tell you go ahead, cause it’s great but I don’t necessarily recommend it. I don’t think it’s a must-have foundation and I don’t think I’ll ever repurchase it.
Let me know if you have tried this foundation and if you like it!
That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog [you can do that by email].
