Fifty Shades Freed [2018]

“Fifty Shades Freed” is the third movie of the Fifty Shades Trilogy and it was directed by James Foley. In this one, Anastasia and Christian get married but Jack Hyde, Anastasia’s ex-boss, continues to threaten their relationship.

Honestly, I really hate all of the Fifty Shades movies, this one is at least better than the second one but it’s still really bad. So many people were shocked that I went to see it, trust me, I was too.

Compared to the second one, this one has a plot at least and it’s not all over the place but I still think the story is bad, cliché and useless. I enjoyed the comedy, it made this ridiculous movie more fun to watch and I did like how they ended the trilogy, in a very nostalgic way.

On another hand, the acting is  horrible, I mean I cannot take these actors seriously, their acting is bad, it’s not believable and it is artificial, I mean in some scenes, I felt like they were gonna start laughing. There are other scenes where the acting is more or less better but overall, James Foley did a horrible job at directing them.

Concerning the sexually scenes, I’ve seen better. That might be a taboo subject but it is supposed to be an erotic film so I have to talk about the abundant sex scenes. I mean two or three sex scenes that are amazingly well-directed would have done the job but no, there are like 100 sex scenes and they all suck :p There are some original ideas but they were so poorly directed and executed, that’s really sad.

To conclude my review, don’t watch “Fifty Shades Freed”, it’s really not worth your money or time and I rate it a 2/5 because I did enjoy it and it is better than “Fifty Shades Darker”

5/5: Excellent

4/5: Very Good

3/5: Good

2/5: Bad

1/5: VERY bad!

That’s it for this movie review. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

Have never heard any friend say anything good about these films. I did go and see The Shape of Water the other night. Brilliant. Best film I have seen in a while. Thanks for the recommendation x

Lol, I hate them all as well. The acting is too contrived and cheesy. It’s beyond unrealistic. I had no plans to see this disaster of a movie, now you have confirmed my feelings about not watching it. Plus, this saves me hours of my life. Thank you! 💋😍

Ahh this review hurts my soul so much because I have always been such a big fifty shades fan but well I have read all the books which gives so much more for the film. I don’t think people who haven’t read the books will never really like the movies or understand why we love them. But well not everyone can like everything ☺️ xx

it’s not the movie that you love, it’s the books. The movies were poorly directed and as a filmmaker I am ashamed 😛 I am sure the books are amazing, they just didn’t know how to transform them into a visual story. It’s sad, the movies could have been great!

Well I like the movies aswell as the books 😃

Oki then, i respect your opinion, not everyone has to hate it 😛 plus, like i said, i did enjoy the comedy, i think there were some pretty funny scenes!!

Honestly I think the only reason people what 50 shades is because they are intrigued by how erotic it is but how have they managed THREE movies out of this one subject its crazy, think I will give this one a miss in that case!

I haven’t seen the movies, but I did read the books. The first one piqued my interest, but then I realized how horrible the series, plot, and writing was as I forced myself to finish the series. Weirdly, I’ve always wanted to see the movies (just never have), but everyone says they’re just as bad, if not worse–especially the second movie. After reading your review, I think I’ll wait till they come to Redbox or Netflix, if they’re even worthy of being featured there!

They showed a clip as part of the promotion when Dornan went on an chat show. No obvious chemistry which seems a basic requirement.

I haven’t even watched the first one yet, and I’ve been wanting to, but it does sound completely unrealistic! ❤

I don’t think they are worth your time but if you like those kind of films then maybe you can watch them online or on netflix. The first one is the best amongst the three honestly!!

      • February 16, 2018 / 10:12 pm

I think I’m more intruiged really, than interested 😛 I probably won’t bother with the second and third though after this! ❤

  10. February 16, 2018 / 10:50 pm

I actually love the series! I haven’t seen this one, but I definitely will! I love the books and I love the movies. I don’t really watch them for their quality, it’s more just fun. I’m just not someone that takes movies that seriously, except horror I’m a huge critic with those. 😂

I’m glad you shared this, even I don’t think they acted well even after just watching the trailer. Won’t waste my time watching it.
