Sephora’s favorite highlighters, worth the hype?

Hello my pumpkins and welcome back!

So by the time this post is up, I’ll be skiing in the Alps. I am away but it doesn’t mean I am not posting and today I am going to talk about the Glow For It highlighting set by Sephora. Basically this box contains all of [most of actually] the bestsellers highlighters that you can find at Sephora. You can get yours here I am going to quickly review each highlighters alone [only the cruelty-free ones] and let you know which ones I recommend.

Sephora claims that these 7 highlighters are daily essentials, are they? Let’s find out!

3 of these highlighters are not cruelty-free: the Bobbi Brown one, the Nudestix one and the Benefit one. I’ll only be reviewing the highlighters from cruelty-free brands.

Ok now let’s talk about each highlighters alone

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone

This highlighter has quickly became my ultimate favorite highlighter. I really love the formula, it’s super blinding, it doesn’t emphasize the texture on my skin and even though the shade is very light, it doesn’t look weird or gray-ish and it blends in beautifully with the rest of my makeup. Plus, the packaging is very cute, edgy and contains a mirror!

If you want to purchase this baby here, it retails for 38$ and you get 8g of product.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Highlighter in Exposed

This is my least favorite highlighter, I really wanted to love it but honestly it doesn’t look good on me, it emphasizes the texture on my skin, it looks streaky, grayish [the shade is very similar to the Becca highlighter] and it’s not as blinding as Becca’s. So, I don’t think it’s worth the money.

If you want to purchase this one [even though I don’t recommend it], it costs 29$ and you get 5.6g of product!

Milk Makeup Highlighter in Lit

I was mainly excited to try this cream highlighter, I heard so many amazing things about the brand ‘milk’. This highlighter is not the most blinding ever but I love the finish, it gives an amazing natural dewy look. I would definitely use this on a daily basis and it applies nicely, even on top of powder.

I just want to add that for a sample size, it is pretty big you get 6g of product which I think is cool!

If you want this cream highlighter, it retails for 24$ and you get 30ml of product.

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight

I was so afraid to try this one out because I have had a bad experience with liquid highlighters but omg, this one is amazing, it gives an amazing sparkly glow, it doesn’t look streaky or patchy [even if applied on top of powder], it blends in beautifully with the rest of the makeup and you can easily build it up.

Moreover, I love the fact that it’s versatile, that you can use it for different purposes [maybe add it to your foundation]. You can purchase it here, it retails for 42$ and you get 15ml of product.

I am not sure I’ll ever purchase this highlighter alone because it’s expensive and I am sure you I can find better in the market but I am happy I got to try it and I definitely recommend it.

That’s it for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

xx

I LOVE these sephora favorites value sets. I think they’re great for the price and it is a great opportunity to try out new products. I find it so hard to go through a product, and since they have expiration dates and all that, I think this is a great idea.

Great intel! I love these reviews because it keeps me informed before I go to Sephora and buy everything without research then having to go back to exchange the product. Enjoy your time in the beautiful Alps. 😍
