Sephora Contouring, Blush and Strobing palettes: Hit or Miss?

Hello my pumpkins!

Today I am going to be reviewing three face palettes from the Sephora collection: the contouring, the strobing and the blush sculpting palettes.

These palettes are not really new on the market, I think they came out in August. But, when my boyfriend bought them, the woman working at Sephora told him that they were brand new.

You can purchase the strobing paletteĀ here, the contouring palette here and the blush sculpting palette here.

So each palette comes with four shades: the blush palette comes with four shimmery blush shades and one contour shade. The strobing palette comes with four highlighting shades and the contouring palette comes with two dark shades to contour and two light shades to highlight [one is a banana shade]. Each palette retails forĀ 14,95€ and contains 4 x 2.28g of products.

Packaging

The packaging of these palettes is pretty simple yet still looks super fancy and elegant: it’s made out of plastic and it is colored in black [it has shinny finish]. A mirror is available and the shades are neatly placed horizontally. The name of the palettes and brand are written in a simple calligraphy in silver.

I really love how those palettes look, I am definitely happy to have them in my makeup collection. Plus, they are quite small, so it’s super easy to travel with them and the powders cannot break easily because the closure is not magnetic, so the palette is quite secure.

Now whether these palettes are a hit or miss depends on the formula.

Ā Contouring palette formula:Ā I love the formula of these powders, the dark shades do not look muddy and they blend very smoothly and easily. They are also very long-lasting and pigmented.

BlushĀ sculpting palette formula:Ā I am not a fan of this one. I like the fact that they incorporated a bronzer, I like the formula and the shades are pretty, but I just wouldn’t reach for this palette on a daily basis. I still think, it’s very useful for traveling.

Strobing palette formula:Ā I really love this one, I mentioned it in my December favorites. These highlighters are blinding, they look very nice on my skin, they don’t look to powdery but they don’t give this dewy finish as well. Moreover, they don’t look streaky or weird when you look at my face straight, they are long-lasting and I like the shades, they suit my skin tone very well.

Conclusion

For the price, I think these palettes are a hit! The packaging is very pretty and practical and the formula is amazing.

That’s it for this review. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you did, don’t forget to give this post a ā€˜like’ and to follow my blog

My friend bought the blush one and she liked it – she doesn’t have a lot of makeup and that palette was a great way for her to get a bunch of colours all in one palette. šŸ™‚

These sounds promising! I too, love when a palette includes a bronzer! Becca’s Apres Ski Glow palette has highlights, a bronzer, and a blush. If you’re into face powders, I think you’d really enjoy it!

    Great post!
