Star Wars: The Last Jedi [2017]

While the Resistance prepares the battle with the First Order, Rey seeks help from Luke Skywalker to guider her as the last Jedi. The eighth episode was directed by Ryan Johnson.

I personally loved this one way more than the seventh episode. I think this Star Wars makes more sense, is better developed and better written. Moreover, I loved the story in and the action more, I liked how the story unfolds and how it slowly reveals new informations about the characters.

I also fell in love with some of the shots, seriously. I loved the cinematography and art direction!

On another note, I really liked Ben in this one, I think the actor developed better his character and we got to see who he really is [pure evil yas]. I also think his acting is very believable and genuine. Same thing goes for the other actors/actresses.

What I hated in this film is the comedy [most of it anyways. When it’s not Chubakah], it’s just so bad and off, it doesn’t go well with the story, with the characters and some jokes are just too lame. Furthermore, I didn’t like Luke in this one, AT ALL. I hated his character.

In conclusion, even though I hated the comedy and Luke, I still think it’s a must-watch. It’s super entertaining and there’s no way on earth that you get bored watching it!

That’s it for today. Don’t forget to give this review a ‘like’ and to follow my blog, if you’ve enjoyed reading it.

I’ve seen the movie too and I was disappointed because of the jokes and Luke as well, but more because of the jokes. It was like heh.. you know? I really liked the effects and cinematography, everything was brilliant, also I had some times when I was like “omg, I start feeling something for Ben” but hahaha, we will see.

It felt a bit lazy to me like they’d just borrowed parts of the story from the other films but you’re right, the scenes were beautifully shot. The comedy felt a bit disney to me like most of it just didn’t really work in this sort of film. I enjoyed it, just expecting to see something better in the next one!

I wasn’t thrilled with it though have read heaps of reviews of it since which has been fantastic and re-educated me on the mythos that has been so much of our psyches. Very interesting that Disney has grown and what has happened globally to contain FOX.
Some really interesting things happening. Also we have a testament to Carrie Fisher. Seriously one of pioneers of feminism and mental illness. An incredible mind and brilliant comic. The woman was the real deal.

I agree with you on the fact that the cinematography for the movie was absolutely amazing. So were quite a number of battlescenes that were amazing. Other than that, after having been a Star Wars fan of more than 25 years, and never having said a bad word about anything in this franchise, this was the first movie that I really did not like….at all 😢 But, that said, I’m glad you enjoyed it and I loved reading your review. It is a film that has definitely had quite a number of different opinions which I think is what movies should always be about 😊 Great post!

I loved this movie, I am such a suker for star wars so no matter what they do I will love it lol. I personally can’t stand Ben but you can see his character development indeed. I also agree with you about Luke, there was something just wrong with the character in this movie, but the end (his part of it) was really beautifully done and it got tears to my eyes haha xx

I agree that the cinematography and art direction was spot on in this one. The part where it went silent was awesome!

I could have done without the middle section of the film! The beginning and ending were fine. The whole character of Snoke was lame!

I heard a lot of fans make comments on the comedy in the film. As someone who hasn’t watched Star Wars, I enjoyed the movie… however, I’m sure that must be frustrating for die hard fans! —

Yeah the comedy was just wrong and so not well done! Yeah idk, i am fan but not a die hard one 😛

I loved this movie as well. I was a bit disappointed in Luke’s character as well, and the fact that he DIED, I thought the ending was pretty awesome with his “face-off” with Kylo.

Great Review. I’ve had the distinct impression that these new movies have been very much like Marmite. As a follower of the Saga from the beginning it’s nice to hear some else who liked it 👍🏻👍🏻
