Hello my pumpkins and happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great week-end because today is Monday hence we have to get back to work. Today, I am reviewing two products from the Arctic Holiday Limited Edition collection by Kiko: the face serum and the baked blush. I know that several brands are coming out with special edition products for the holidays, Kiko being one of them, and I thought I should review some of these winter products!
Before diving into this review, don’t forget to check my previous post where I am sharing with you my top favourite films to watch on Christmas.
So this winter limited edition collection offers diverse products including this facial serum/primer and this blush [which is available in 3 shades]. The face serum retails for 18.90 GPD [49L.L] and contains 40ml of product. The blush in shade ‘Dreaming Coral’ retails for 16.90 GPD [45L.L] and contains 8g of product.
Packaging
I really love the packaging of this primer, it’s very fancy for a drugstore product and it suits well with theme [which is ‘Arctic’]. I like the fact that the serum is in a translucent glass jar [even though it doesn’t make it practical for traveling] and I like the fact that the applicator is a pump.
I also love the color of the primer: it’s white and holographic which I think is the perfect color for the term ‘Arctic’.
Concerning the baked blush, I really love the mirror packaging as well, it follows perfectly the glacial theme and is ideal for traveling because there’s a mirror, it’s in plastic and it is not too big in size! I love the fact that it came with a small silver bag, it makes it even more fancy and luxurious!
Both products came in a golden holographic box such as this one below. I really love this cardboard box, it is very well thought of, very original, and very fancy!
Formula
Facial Serum:
“Highlighting face base with hyaluronic acid that recharges the skin with hydration and maintains it over time*. Reflective pearls give an immediate light effect, evening out the complexion. The extraordinarily silky texture smoothens and emphasises the brightness of the complexion, perfecting it and preparing it for future makeup treatments”
I really liked this serum as my base makeup because it does keep my skin hydrated and luminous all day while evening out my complexion. However, I wouldn’t say this primer is ideal for dry skin because it didn’t eliminate or reduce my dry patches, I had to apply an essential oil to do that.
I don’t think the primer is revolutionary and I don’t recommend you to buy it unless your skin type is normal. I have a combination skin [normal to oily] and I enjoy using this primer, I think it is perfect for the cold weather, it keeps my makeup in place and makes it last but I don’t think I will repurchase it.
By the way, the serum does have a strong scent that disappears once you blend it on your skin.

Baked Blush:
“Metallic finish baked blush with the fragrance of ginger and spices. This blush gives the cheeks and cheekbones definition and colour, brightening them with an intense shade. The velvety and soft-to-the-touch texture, enriched with ingredients deriving from glacial water, is easy to blend and gives the face a metallic finish for an effect that will wow. Features immediate colour pay-off. “
I absolutely love this blush, it has an amazing pigmentation but not too pigmented that you can go overboard with it, the shade is stunning and suits my complexion very well and it blends very easily. Moreover, it gives an amazing glow, is long-lasting and feels super buttery.
This blush does have a scent however it is not strong and it disappears once you apply the blush on your face.
Conclusion
For the price, I don’t think the strobing face serum is worth buying even though the packaging is aesthetically pleasing and I am sort of satisfied with it but it’s just not that amazing. The baked blush, on the other hand, is definitely a hit, I love it and I advice all of you to give it a try. It is pricy but the packaging is nice and you get a good amount of product.
That’s it for this review. Don’t forget to give this post a ‘like’ and to follow my blog, if you’ve enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for informing us about the price factor. It is so upsetting buying a pricey product that does not deliver on its claims.
