Coco [2017]

‘Coco’ is Disney-Pixar’s newest animation film and tells the story of a little boy, Miguel who dreams of pursuing a career in music while his family prohibits him from doing so. After disobeying his grand-mother, Miguel finds himself in the land of dead where he meets his ancestors.

This is honestly my new favorite Disney film, I absolutely loved it, it is so fun and it truly transports you.

Starting with the story, I really loved the plot, I think it’s very imaginative and it was meticulously written and well developed. Moreover, I really loved the characters, each bring something different to the movie and make the movie even more interesting. I also enjoyed discovering Mexico’s most famous cultural event: the day of the dead! I think it’s a great entertaining movie that explains very well the event of Death to children and that has a deep moral.

Visually, the movie is amazing: the art direction and cinematography is very impressive and does an amazing job at representing Mexico’s culture. I was also astonished by how the land of the dead is presented and how the ‘dead’ are portrayed: super fun and colorful.

Of course, the music in this film is unforgettable and magical, I actually am still singing ‘Remember me’ and ‘Un Poco Loco’.

In conclusion, I truly encourage you to watch this movie, it is definitely worth your time and money. Plus, you get to watch an amazing short Frozen film before, so please, you have no reason not to watch it.

That’s it for this movie review. I hope you enjoyed reading it and if you did, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.

Think I just met with a witch. Time to see what the cauldron has for lunch now.
Saw Only the Brave the other night. Jeff Bridges does a few 12 step recovery messages these days. I still have to see Bladerunner.
