Hello my pumpkins, welcome back!!
Today I am sharing with you all the products/places/books/movies/events that I loved this month. Beware, the list is long.
On top of my beauty list is, of course, the Naked Heat palette by Urban Decay, I really adored this palette and haven’t stopped wearing it since I got it. I wrote a review about it, you can read it here.
The Wet n Wild highlighter comes second in this list; this highlighter is BLINDING, I freaking love it and it’s not glittery, it gives this natural wet look that I just love. Moreover, IT IS SO CHEAP.
The diamond shaped sponge by Real Techniques is also part of my list this month, I think this sponge is way better than the regular beauty blender because the shape allows the blending to be easier and the quality is amazing for the low price.
This blush by NYX cosmetics [in shade ‘amber’] is part of this list because first, I love the shade [it looks so natural on my skin tone], second, it is long lasting and third, it is pigmented [but not too pigmented, which is good because you cannot go overboard with it]
This nail polish by China Glaze is THE BOMB!!! I love the shade [which I forgot the name but will mention it as soon as I go home]. I already love China Glaze a lot because they offer a big range of nail polish colors, of great quality and for a low price.
My top skin care favorites are this facial scrub by St. Ives and the Hydro Boost water gel moisturizer by Neutrogena. I love this apricot scrub because it really exfoliates my face well keeping my skin smooth and clean. This Neutrogena moisturizer is everything and perfect for oily skin because it controls well the shine and keep your skin smooth and hydrated, if you have an oily skin, THIS IS FOR YOU!!!
I read two books this month and ‘milk and honey’ by Rupi Karu happens to be my favorite, I haven’t finished it yet but so far, I loving it, it is so relatable.
My two favorites movies this month are ‘The Insult’ [read review here] and ‘It’ [read review here]. By the way, I don’t get people who say “I didn’t like ‘It’ because it’s not scary”, excuse me? a horror movie doesn’t need to scare you TO BE GOOD!!! I don’t get scared of horror movies whatsoever, but I still love them. If you read my review, you’ll understand why I loved it. I am a film student so I see things differently, I look for details like the cinematic techniques or the acting, I don’t judge horror films on the basis of whether they are scary or not, that is just stupid. Plus, scary is subjective!
Moving on to the places/events, my favorite place this month is obviously Bodrum in Turkey. I LOVED this city so much, it is gorgeous and the inhabitants are so welcoming [you can read more about it here].
If you follow me on Instagram, twitter or snapchat [username for snap: joyabouzeid], you know that I went to see Violet Chachki perform live in Beirut. I freaking love her so much, she was one of my favorite contestants in RuPaul’s Drag Race so I’m sure you can imagine how much I FREAKED OUT when she came on stage. Me and my best friend were standing on the front row and Violet literally grabbed my hand and massaged it [OH MY GOD], she also started singing while LOOKING AT ME and when she saw how freaked out I was, she giggled [I almost cried]. Also, you cannot imagine how BEAUTIFUL she is, she is just gorgeous and her body is insane!
That’s it for today. Thanks for passing by, if you liked this post, don’t forget to give it a ‘like’ and to follow my blog.
